This review is long over due but here it is…read more My family didn't paint this house for 15 years. The paint peeled and wood rot all over. It is a big headache just thinking about remodeling. It is not just about money but finding the right contractor who would do quality work and not take our money and run. Cost is also a big concern since our house is huge and very high. I am in charge of finding the super hero to fix this gigantic mess. First, I called about 8 companies via Yelp to come and give me estimates. Some companies said my house is too big and tall so refused to do it. Some companies said it will take 3 months. Some companies wanted to charge me $100,000. Some companies unwilling to fix the rot wood. Some companies needed to rent scaffolds and hydraulic lift since the house is too high. Hydraulic lift is supposed to cost over $2,000. Yikes! I had about 2 weeks to get project done because fire insurance company threatened to cancel our policy if we don't fix up the house. I interviewed about 8 companies and found one perfect company: FD Painting. Why is FD Painting so excellent and won my heart? 1. They have contractor license and I insurance. 2. They were willing to fix all the rot wood. 3. Tino is also friendly and accommodating to different things I pointed out need fixing. 4. Their price is reasonable. The crew showed up to work everyday on time. 5. Their craftsmanship is also excellent. 6. They finished the entire project in 10 days (4 days ahead of schedule)!!! Hooray!!! 7. They didn't need scaffolds or hydraulic lift. 8. I didn't need to watch them while they worked. 9. They cleaned up well after the project. 10. They were honest and trustworthy. Priceless. The consistent ease of communication with Mike via text regarding all work is truly next-level. I've never had an easier time working with someone. That's the part I don't know how to put into words. And then in addition to the communication, the quality of work Panther offers is extremely high. They can do so much more outside of just painting! I had an exterior door frame issue that multiple contractors had tried to address, and Panther was the only one who actually fixed the problem. The quality of their work both aesthetically and functionally is top-notch. I have some smaller projects I didn't hire them for because they are more expensive, and sometimes I just need cheaper relief less perfection, but the reason they're more expensive is because of their perfect quality. Ivan came out for the initial assessment and spent a good amount of time answering all of my questions, which I really appreciated. My house also had peeling stucco and some rotting wood trim, and they were comfortable assessing those issues and explaining how they would repair them. Vitaly and another crew member worked on the house and were fantastic. They repaired the peeling stucco and rotting wood trim before painting, and everything was done cleanly and professionally. They kept the workspace very tidy, put all tools away at the end of each day, and did a thorough cleanup afterward, including all paint scrapings and debris. They worked quickly and were also surprisingly quiet (I.e. no loud music or constant chatter). The whole job took about 10 days total, with a small delay due to rain. Communication throughout the process was great. Mike (the owner) was very responsive via text, provided regular updates, and was genuinely nice and personable. The team was also happy to accommodate extra requests like painting the mail slot, chimney, and changing the door color, all without any surprise costs. I even bought a new porch light to replace my old one, with the intention to swap it out myself after they were done, but Vitaly offered to install it for me too :) Overall, the paint job was very neat and professionally done. I'm really happy with the results and would definitely recommend Panther Paint, especially if you have an older home that needs some repair work in addition to painting.
