They had the replacement part needed (HDD flex cable) in storage. The express service cost extra, but given how difficult it is to get Apple products fixed in Aachen, I thought that was totally reasonable. (Without express service, the wait is 5 to 10 business days.) The young staff member who took care of my computer was excellent--friendly, fast, professional, knowledgeable, and very transparent about what the repair will eventually cost.
