We are parents who used Nicole's Nannies, and had a great experience! We wanted a temporary nanny on short notice, to cover a one-month gap between parental leave and day care entrance, and despaired of finding and interviewing qualified nannies for a short (but important!) job. Nicole's had been recommended by a colleague at work, and after contacting her, she swiftly proposed a very qualified nanny who was available, and we interviewed her the next day (she was great). We ultimately didn't employ the nanny (we were able to start day care early), but throughout, Nicole's responsiveness, professionalism, and consideration of our individual circumstances was exemplary: we were working with a real person, who cared and was looking out for us (and treating nannies fairly!). read more

I worked with Heather at Nicole's nannies. She set me up on an interview with a family who was perfect for me! We clicked right away, and decided we were the right fit for each other and both agreed to move forward. Heather was there the whole time touching base, making sure I was happy and put together a wonderful contract. We had a great experience with Nicole's Nannies and would recommend them to others. We have had our nanny for 3 weeks now and things have been going well (knock on wood)... We looked on care.com and various other online sources, but the quality of people that were sent to us by Nicole's Nannies was far better than any of the candidates we interviewed with from the other sources. The entire experience with Nicole's Nannies was poor and very negative and the response above is inaccurate and simply defensive. The nanny was provided with a large lovely and private room which was even inspected in person by several au pair agencies and deemed very nice. We decided an au pair did not fit our needs. The nanny provided did not have the experience stated in her resume, she was unkempt with horrible body odor and acted as an au pair and not a professional nanny. I was looking for work with various Nanny Agencies and Kith and Kin was my favorite by far. Christa was so easy to communicate with and really made an effort make sure that I was the right fit for the family as well as ensuring that they were the right fit for me. She sets up all of the interviews as quick as possible,does all of the negotiatiating as well as setting up contracts so my employers and I are the same page. Heather and her team are the best agency I've ever worked with. Being a Nanny, I've dealt with a lot of agencies who only care about the needs of the families, not the Nannies. But that's not the case at all with Nicole's Nannies. I first interviewed with them back in 2017 and I only have great things to say about them. I have worked with 3 other NJ Nanny Agencies in the past and none of them compare to effort that Nicole's Nannies puts in. They're extremely professional yet caring/considerate of my needs/concerns when looking for a new Nanny position. They don't just care about helping the families, they care about helping the Nannies just as much and always make sure everyone is happy with the situation. Heather has gone above and beyond to help me personally and make sure that I have found the right fit for me. She always answers my emails promptly and has kept me in the loop and up to date with every step of the interview process. She's offered to go in early to get questions answered for me and on multiple occasions has answered my emails way past work hours. The intentions of Nicole's Nannies are evident. Unlike many other agencies, their business isn't strictly a profit, it's truly to help families AND Nannies find their perfect match and thanks to Heather and her amazing team, I am so happy to say I have found the perfect family for me. Terrible agency- she finds the candidates off of care.com and Facebook and often they have little childcare experience. It is $275 to even talk to her or see what candidates she offers. One of the last candidates she sent us has been an Au Pair only one time two years ago. The one we did a trial on only had retail and part-time babysitting experience. She wants these nannies with no experience to be charged top dollar, as well as flying them everywhere and paying a huge placement fee. That would be fine if she found qualified, good candidates, but hers are terrible. We couldn't find anyone great out of the applicants that were offered, and the person who trialed with us was worse than an Au Pair and complained about 10 hour days that she was warned about in advance (with 4+ hours of downtime in the middle of the day while my baby napped ). She also complained that she didn't have her own bathroom, and that a few empty picture frames in her bedroom meant that her room was being used for "storage." Very immature and inexperienced. Nicole did not care at all, and I lost a lot of money, and have not even met a qualified candidate to show for it. She also wants the nannies to be paid illegally, off the books, so they don't have to pay taxes, at rates much more than a live in makes in the area (they receive both room and board). All she cares about is making money. Do not use this agency. read more

I am disgusted with how this company runs their business. They are extremely unprofessional and lack character and morals. They used our name and made up a completely false reference for our current nanny to place her with a different family while she was still employed with us. The only reason we found out this was happening was because the reference happened to go out to one of my husband's co-workers (currently looking for a nanny) who contacted him directly after seeing his name to ask about her. I can only imagine how many times they have fabricated references. I spoke with Nikki and she said our nanny was just looking for weekend hours when she wasn't working for us. However the reference went out to my husband's co-worker who is looking for full-time care of her baby. When you are looking for a nanny for your loved one and placing your trust in a nanny agency you should not have to worry that the agency is trying to just place someone and will act unethically to do that. My husband and I are completely mortified that companies like this and people like this can act so unprofessionally. All they care about is making money and not finding a good fit. Heather blamed this mistake on not properly training a staff member and said that they let her go. This staff member completely falsified a reference and they expect me to believe they had no idea this was happening? Take responsibility for the actions that are happening within your company. I am 100% sure this how they run their business and they just got caught this time. After this whole ordeal they offered to place us with a new nanny free of charge....why would I ever trust a company who makes us fake references? Finding a nanny that is a good fit for your family is such a big decision and I would highly discourage anyone to use this agency to help them make that decision. They should be ashamed of themselves! read more
