I am a custom homebuilder in Austin and have referred Joey to all my homebuyers that do not have…read moretheir own lender. Joey Walker is great- hands down, no exceptions! Here is a testament from one of our homeowners. 11/27/2018 Getting approved for a sensible mortgage loan can be quite the taxing experience. My first mortgage loan originator through my credit union seemed like the right choice since I've been with them for over thirty years. When they said I didn't qualify for a conventional loan because I didn't have enough income over the last two years, and that the only loan they could approve me for was an ARM with 40% down and a much higher interest rate than what I was willing to settle for, I thought my chances of buying my dream home was over. I then called the custom home builder whom I had been in contact with and asked them if they had a recommendation. Without hesitation, they immediately recommended Joey Walker saying that he had helped many of their buyers qualify for a mortgage loan. What struck me most about Joey when we began the process of getting approved was how genuine his character was in regards that he really did care about my situation. Things seemed grim at first, but I kept strong in my faith knowing that Joey was on my team working very hard checking all angles. Through our conversations, I could tell his knowledge of the mortgage industry was second nature, which helped me relax knowing that I was being well taken care of. To my surprise, Joey got me approved for a thirty year fixed conventional loan at a interest rate that was a half point lower than what the credit union offered. And with having to only put twenty percent down, I was literally in shock. Would I recommend Joey Walker to have as your mortgage loan originator? Well, I can't imagine anyone better!
