A word to the restaurant management; If you can't see fit to ban smoking from the restaurant, then at least keep it to cigarettes. We are also grateful for their endless patience dealing with my pathetic attempts at the French language (two years of high school level French, it embarrasses my husband routinely) and their own knowledge of English is so superb that the subtleties of wine region and varietal discussions are easily communicated. The food is created from local sources, and the delights of the gardens on the hotel grounds. Each amuse bouche has featured flowers and herbs grown on site, and each appetizer has been even better than the last we tried. A true highlight has been the VEGETABLE ELEMENT (I know, I'm a tried and true carni-phile, but dude, DUDE the veg!) of each dish.
