We live outside of town so we usually take a turn to head in another direction or else who knows how long it would have been before we would have crossed paths with this place had we not. Parking was ample. Not very busy when we arrived. Atleast thats how it seemed. We put our order in and waited and waited and waited as the saying goes fast food isn't good and good food isn't fast. It was what we noticed as we waited ... order after order after order being picked up. This place is literally the locals secret!!! We were amazed with the traffic coming and going, which made us excited for what we were about to take in. After maybe a 20min wait, our order of cheese sticks were delivered piping hot with a side of marinara. Nothing fancy but still Delish! Another 15-20min 1 6inch meatball, 1 personal cheese pizza, and 1 large signatures pizza "The Blitz", with a couple sodas concluded our order. Fyi there is no alcohol served at this establishment (trust me, its not a deal breaker) The meatball sub was for my daughter. It did not look that great. The meatballs are very small and dark, almost looked waaay overcooked. I had to tear half the hard bread off it was served on so my daughter could even bite into it. This is her favorite type of sandwich and she was not interested in eating it due to the presentation. My husband and I both tried it and didn't think it was bad at all, just lacked the appeal but tasty! Personal cheese was cut into triangles - our picky eater loved it! Def got a thumbs up!!! The Blitz to our surprise was huge for a large and cut into squares from a circle. The toppings were ample, fresh, crisp - perfect! Not too much or too little of anything. The sauce was perfection! Not too sweet not too tangy not too acidic. The crust was great too but with The Blitz we would ask for a little crisper only due to all the toppings taking over (just a personal preference) and our eyes being bigger than our stomachs that it took awhile for us to reach the middle of the pizza (but totally not a bad thing). I usually don't eat onions or sausage on pizza but sometimes in marriage you gotta be flexible and I had told my husband he could pick this time and let me tell you, I enjoyed every single bite, so much so I was adding the fallen onions and sausage to my slices of pizza!! Amazing!! We left this gem with full bellies and plenty of leftovers. My husband mentioned he can't wait to try just a regular pepperoni pizza from this place (maybe pizza twice in 1 week lol) We recommend ordering in advance as the wait can be excruciating - especially when you show up starving lol but so worth the wait too!!! I walked in the door and was greeted by so many smiles it felt like I was floating on a cloud in heaven I watched has they hand tossed my dough, MY dough, and couldn't stop thinking about how much they enjoyed playing with my dough until it was soft and fluffy and ready for the toppings. I could not have been more excited when they put their ZESTY sauce on my dough and spread it around for a bit... they then covered my beautifully made dough in cheese and how much it made me realize how much it felt like home in Kelly's pizza.
