I came in to have my exhaust checked. I was told I needed $4300 worth of work which included two…read morecatalytic converters and other exhaust parts. I couldn't afford that so they said they could replace the smaller catalytic converter and the other parts for $1700. I know catalytic converters are expensive so I agreed. After the work my check engine light was on. They said that was because I needed my main converter replaced and that would be $2300 more. I left there and found a place that specializes in exhaust work (I thought Midas did but evidently not). The new shop told me I didn't need the main converter that it was fine. He said I needed some sensors probably. I take my car to another shop and they told me that my smaller catalytic converter was removed and bypassed which is illegal. The new shop told me it was no guarantee my engine light would go out because I now have a converter that was deleted. He replaced two sensors for $500 and now my car runs fine and the check engine light is out. Not only did I not need a main converter for $2300. I really wonder why I was charged $1700 for a catalytic converter that wasn't put on my car. This place is a joke!!! I thought going to Midas would be fixing my car properly but I was soooo wrong. Do not trust these guys. They will rip you off and not fix your vehicle.

They did not need to stop their work to help me, especially when I was not even parked in their lot. it says a lot about them!! most recently, winter storms and ice caused major damage to my hybrid vehicle's battery and additionally, AAA caused extra damage when I called for a jump, and they handled it incorrectly. Fountain Street accepted a tow on a Friday during this time when they had 0 appointments available for 3 weeks. Anthony was able to get my battery replaced, and they kept my vehicle over the weekend so they could address the electrical issues that were not there before the battery was dead/AAA caused damage. I had my car back that Wednesday. I am a single female living close by in Manayunk for the last 10 years, and I am disappointed to have ever used any other shop. I will absolutely be switching to regular service with these guys. They are kind, laid back, and in my case, made me feel confident they could handle the issues rather than causing me more stress over the unknown. That is invaluable service to me and not easy to find!
