A really super individual. Easy to talk to, and in my opinion a great doctor.

After being told by the X-ray tech (Corey) "Ms. Hankins will get to it when she has time", Ms. Hankin's med asst (Tameka) stated, "MS. HANKINS SAID SHE WON'T WRITE A PRESCRIPTION FOR 800 mg M0TRIN BECAUSE IT KILLS YOUR KIDNEYS". I was seen in their office Sept 2023 for followup to an Urgent Care visit in July 2023 for the hand pain I've been taking 800 mg Motrin for. I wasn't directed to stop taking it at the Sept 2023 appt or my March 2024 appt (for shingles) & was never advised that their office wouldn't renew this Rx in the future. Based on the rude interactions I observed the front desk (Theresa) having in March with people who were lost (sounded like their appt was with a cardiologist in the bldg. next door), their complete lack of empathy to my situation now, & Ms. Hankins' refusal to prescribe 800 mg Motrin to a 55-yo whose only other daily med is Zoloft, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE TO ANYONE now that Dr. Konell is gone. PS. I scheduled an appt to see Ms. Hankins at her first available appt which was July 31, 2024 @ 9:30. Needless to say, I cancelled that appt after learning her stance on 800 mg Motrin and will not be continuing my care with HCA, formerly West Florida Primary Care.

I was referred to Dr. Hultstrand with extreme pelvic pain. My initial, new patient appointment was delayed a week, and when I finally got to see him, he walked in looking at his phone, no introductions or discussion before my exam, and was obviously in a rush to leave. My appointment was at 10, I saw him at 10:25 and was out the doors in tears by 10:40. During my exam, said I smelled like 'dried old blood' and then said he was mistaken 'it was the trash can' next to him. He didn't offer any ideas of where my pain could be coming from or any remedies of how-to manage pain while I wait for my referrals. I had made it clear that I had experienced this pain for months during my cycle but was now at a week of daily extreme pain. I cried to him as he inched toward the door and had to advocate for my pain management. I told him my thoughts about my condition and requested a muscle relaxer, which is said "wouldn't work"... (it did.) The cherry on top was my pain meds being sent to the wrong pharmacy. I understand hospital staffs are overworked and underpaid, but a little listening ear and kind touch would go a long way.

After reading reviews, I should have known that eventually something would go wrong. I have been…read moreseeing Dr. Le Thi for almost a year and she has been really good. I went in to see her last week (6/16) and she prescribed medication that needed a prior authorization form before my insurance (Tricare) would approve. I then received a call from the nurse(6/19) that I would have to be prescribed another medication before I could be approved for the previous medication. Needless to say the new medication also needed a prior authorization per Tricare. I have been calling Tricare and the GCPP since Tuesday to see when the authorization would be released to Walgreens. Fast forward to today (6/23), I reached out to Tricare to see if the authorization had been sent in, I was informed that they had not gotten the PA from the Dr. I called the office and Meagan answered and ask me to hold after I verified who I was, she then comes back and stated that they don't do PA's for this medication and that I would have to pay out of pocket(well that defeats the purpose of having insurance), so that call was ended and I was quite puzzled by the response and I called back. I asked Meagan the clarify why would they not be able to do the PA. She then tells me that they submitted it and it was denied, I stopped her because on the previous call she said they don't do PA's for this medication and now the story has changed to you were denied. So after catching Meagan in this lie, she proceeds to get upset and told me that she was not going to argue with me (mind you no one was arguing) and said you were denied and that's that, and hung up on me. I called back and she hung up, I called back again and asked to speak with the Dr. or the office manager and was told that they were in a meeting and someone would call me after 1:00pm, of course no one has called and I don't expect anyone to do so. This is a great example that someone needs more training in customer service! I have called my insurance to change my PCM, because I will never put my care in a practice that doesn't care to the needs of their patients, nor will I tolerate an environment that is toxic. Meagan will NEVER have an opportunity to be rude and disrespectful to me again.

The Dr was judgmental, offensive, left me with no help for pain. He told me the pain is my fault as I signed up for surgeries despite prior surgical complications. He explained that is the very definition of insanity to repeat behavior expecting a different result. Yep, failed surgeries, pain is my fault. They can be great if you don't have pain or spine defects. It's not color, BLM people. It's pain, the wrong medical dx, economic. Bias rudeness is not limited to people of color
