While working on the root canal, he was injected 5 times to help with the numbing, and another shot directly to his nerve. During the process, my husband still experienced a lot of pain. Fast forward to two weeks later, the payment process was handled unprofessionally. Basically charged 1,300 for an unfinished root canal & fillings for two teeth, and still being told to pay another $1,500 for a finished root canal + crown. We were not told all our options before beginning this whole process. The place doesn't answer your calls, if you leave a message, they may or may not get back to you. If they call you back, they tell you they need you to come down to the office, but won't tell you why and just insist that the Doctor needs to speak to you. Very unprofessional. Please save yourself a peace of mind by avoiding this hole in the wall place. Unfortunately I saw plenty of RED FLAGS before my husband went in to start the whole root canal process, but my husband insisted on coming here because of his past experiences. I don't know what happened, maybe the pandemic hit them hard, but honestly I just want this to go away. Won't be coming back EVER, our business will be going elsewhere.

Estimate of treatment choices were given verbally and refused on paper so they could easily change on their word. They were extremely rude and condescending towards us, especially when things didn't go right with their services. They altered the partial denture and ended up breaking it, then became extremely defensive and rude, demanding their services to be paid in a rushful and worried manner. Front office staff and outside hygienist were much more professional and caring. DO NOT GO TO CALIFORNIA DENTAL GROUP IN PORT HUENEME!! You will regret it. Not sure if they are privately owned or share in other SoCal locations. Either way, we do not recommend and will NEVER trust any dental group under that name.
