For 56 Euros plus the city tax a night prepaid, I cannot complain about the price.
Pros-
- a 2 minute walk from the train station
- located within a 1-20 minute walk from grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries, bars, and shops
- afternoon man who worked there is hilarious
- strong wifi, had no issues
-although the room was small, it was comfortable
- had a elevator
Cons-
-While breakfast was included in the rate, it wasn't very good or well staffed. The coffee and hot drinks comes from this multi drink machine and it all tastes instant. Worst cappuccino ever. Your choices are basically toast, some nasty cake, 1 of 2 cereals, yogurt, ham, 1 kind of cheese, and if they actually remembered to buy them, mini croissants (what I ate if they actually put them out there). Tables regularly had dishes piled up each time I came down for breakfast
- Despite asking for a quiet room, I was directly on the street on the highest floor. I actually did buy ear plugs and had to wear them because it was so loud at all hours that I couldn't sleep.
- Housekeepers come in as early as 9AM. WTF? They also leave their towels and supplies outside making it a bit difficult with large luggage.
- Water pressure in shower was bad
I probably wouldn't go back to Sorrento (nothing to do with the hotel) it's just gotten very touristy as has the Amalfi Coast and the Cinque Terre up north. If I did come back I would only stay here if my room wasn't on the street level.
For a few Euros more I shouldn't have prepaid. After going up the Amalfi Coast, I got bored of the area. read more
