Dash was an excellent server and very attentive. The snacks they gave with our cocktails were also delicious. The cocktails were good. Of note, in Italy, cocktails are just basic mixed drinks but they were still well made and tasted delicious so that's what matters. They also had an extensive cocktail list which was nice as most of the Amalfi Coast doesn't have an extensive cocktail list. The view here is gorgeous. The pool is a nice size but only has 8 lounge chairs and 3 umbrellas on the pool deck. There's more lounge chairs under the covered deck by the bar area. The main beach and beachfront shops, restaurants, etc. are a short walk away. Without a doubt we will be staying here during our next visit to Positano!

It's a bit difficult to do cardio in hot weather and smell cigarette smoke, so that wasn't very enjoyable. Pool is small and I skipped it. There's plenty of seats in the shade and they also have a small hot tub by the garden area separate from the pool. I really liked the tiny libraries and think that should be an option at all hotels in the States! I traded the books I brought and took new ones. Room is okay. They don't service it very well, sometimes only just making the bed and not taking out the garbage. I also felt like the shower was a smidge small and the folded up shower seat was discolored, so a bit off-putting. Everything is also so high up! Like the towel hooks and the toiletries. It's more work for us shorter people to reach! They also offer complimentary service around specific Praiano bus stops, so a bit nice... however, it's quicker at times to just walk it yourself.

The next day I called down to reception to ask what was going on and was told it had not been possible. Zero proactivity. Service in Italy has in general been a hot mess this summer, but it takes no time at all to reply to an email.

The entire hotel is super clean with a modern, Italian designed look. The restaurant, Vesuvius, was modern and extensive, with a nice outdoor serving area and seating area. The waiters, Roberto and Constantinople were very attentive, and made excellent coffee in the morning on request. Breakfast was plentiful, with an assortment of meats, cheeses, eggs, sweet cakes and pastry and fresh vegetables sautéed in the fabulous local olive oil. I can't express enough about how warm and friendly the staff was. Luigi would sit and talk to us like a long known friend, teaching us about the area and the local customs. Fabiana at the front desk was the most helpful when arranging tours. The ones we booked through her were professional and thorough. I highly recommend the tours she handles. I highly recommend this hotel. The area is quaint and historic, walk around the area and you will see. I will be back!
