The staff have always been kind, helpful, patient, and fun to talk to. We truly miss going, and we even made a point to visit during a recent trip to Honolulu. I highly recommend making reservations in advance, as they can be pretty busy. A reservation also locks you in for at least 2 hours of painting time! Just give them a call, pay a small deposit, and book your time. Heads-up: they can be busy with customers during the day, so leave a voicemail and they get back to you pretty quickly! Since they are a small business, you may need to wait anywhere between 4-6 weeks for your pieces. Plan in advance to get them before you need them! The staff always makes sure we have a great time when we go.

Cost is higher but this is a local store and in town so you pay for convenience. Aisles filled with everything from clay, paints, poster boards, yarn, scrapbook materials, wood and everything you can imagine. This is one of those stores you wander the aisles looking at the shelves for interesting hobbies you may want to experience. Always an interesting time walking the aisles to just look and imagine what can be created. Definitely a place to take a look at and just explore that creative part of yourself!

She is an excellent teacher and so friendly. Everyone enjoyed talking to one another, sharing ideas, and advice about other classes we had taken an Hui No'eau previously. The gardens, gallery and gift store are all lovely to walk though so make sure you don't miss out. Plus it is the perfect place to take a post class picnic in the shade and relax.

Fantastic deal for great gifts that are extremely easy to pack and won't break the wallet. To get to this outpost location, enter the Waikiki International Market Place from Kalakaua. Look towards the little storefronts on the righthand side, and it should be a few stores in from the street.

Another creative spot is here in Kaimuki next to XO and other local small biz and yes they do have parking so no street metered or searching is needed as you can leave the work of browsing in the shop. Love the layout though small and cozy it's all nicely organized with items from various other small local vendors are also found here is nice as they work together to bring us fun and unique items from everyday stationary items to of course scrapbooking are found here, I've been seeking quite a bit of inspiration for an a spark of idea and found it here and got so inspired which is a happy dance. Nothing beats the scraps of ideas generated from places like this as it got me going and will definitely be back as this little Kaimuki shop is cute and filled with surprises. Thank you!

Kawaii and cuteness overload…read more.. JQ Store Hawaii found it's new home here in the International Marketplace from the former Ala Moana Plaza and aren't we all thrilled that they did. Filled with all things Japanese it's not limited to the plushies and stationaries we all grown to love and miss as many Japanese stops have slowly disappeared JQ has a great variety to please all levels of anime lovers. Located on the second level right above the Kuhio Avenue Food Hall the first thing I saw as soon as I walked in was some discounted holiday items which is a great time to stock up and find unique decor that area so cute and fun. They do have a huge stock of plushies so fluffy and cute all covered in plastic so that you have no worries of cleanliness along with mystery boxes, huge choices of pens and model kits which are items that can be pricey but are hard to find items even in Japan. A great place with staff that are always willing to help you find items that they may help you to find or just a question, here at JQ Store its a fun trip without the long travel plans. Thank you!
