Do not hire Nice and TIDY L.L.C for any services. Long story. I had hired a cleaning agency to deep clean the 1st floor, I wanted to try them out before I referred them to my elderly clients in Niagara county that need help decluttering and cleaning. The owner, Courtney, seemed nice on the phone. She has a newborn we talked about our kids etc. Talked about having her maybe do jobs for clients but asked if she would want to do deep clean of my house first. She came yesterday (an hour late) but sent her baby daddy in and stayed in the car with her baby. I asked them for 4 hours when we agreed on the appointment. Wanted baseboards and mouldings clean, windows, dust of fabric blinds, mop floors, clean bathroom and kitchen completely, windex 6 French doors. Thought she was the one who would be here doing it. Called her to see if she wanted to set up another day when she didn't have the baby and I would just have him clean the kitchen and bath and pay for an hour and she can come back another day. She said she nurses in the car and the bsby sleeps and she does it all the time and she makes appointments and schedules and markets while she waits. I said ok as long as the job is done. All he did in 4 hours was cleaned 2 windows, our very small bathroom, wipe down one baseboard, the inside of the patio door where there was mud on the bottom and cleaned 2 French doors with the same dirty rag that smelled like motor oil(which he left on my kitchen floor). Said he didn't have time for anything else. Nothing was moved in the kitchen. No wiping down or counters, microwave, no cleaning of floors.. nothing. In 4 hours. He wanted $154 when he left but couldn't figure out the PayPal or Venmo so He told me she would send me an invoice. They were an hour late so I was trying to get him out because my daughter's OT was here for her appointment. I checked his work when the OT sat down with Addie. At that point I sent her pics and asked her to call me. She then texts me and says she didn't receive payment yet. I asked if she looked st the pics and she said she would have to pull over the car and look. So then she has him call me. He said he moved the bathroom towel cabinet and spent a lot of time cleaning the patio door. I said very politely you were here for 4 hours and not even 5% of what I requested be done was done. You didn't even touch anything in 3 of the rooms your partner agreed to clean. I even asked you to steam mop at least the kitchen floor before you left and you didn't even do that. I asked to speak with his partner, Courtney, who is the business owner. She gets on the phone and just starts screaming about payment. I asked if we could calmly talk about the job and I explained my point of view and she just yelled it's an hourly rate I agreed to and I said that's fine but you agreed to clean rooms that weren't even touched. She was screaming like a lunatic to pay her or she will come back to my house and file theft of services charges. I said ok. Then he gets on the phone and threatens me. At that point I said I would pay for the work done but that would equate to maybe $35 which is one hour but I offered $70. Then I even offered if she comes back another day and actually does the job we discussed I would pay her the hourly wage. She gets on the phone and screams that this isn't a yard sale and she doesn't negotiate prices. And all this other bull. I said she is clearly unhinged and clearly cannot be professional and I'm done taking. So they kept calling and texting and calling my husband at work. Threats. Harassment. I called wspd just to tell them what was going on. Some officers came and calmed me down because I was so upset and this point and concerned because I am home alone with my one year-old. They told me to call them if I spot her car or if she comes on my property. Once she realized I wasn't giving into their threats she said she would take me to court. I said ok. Then she just resorted to calling me a bad person and said karma will get me for stealing from a family and small business. And I told her I should charge her because my husband went into work late waiting for them being an hour late so I'll bill her for lost(plus the fact I was trying to work from home). She's is no professional and is clearly unhinged. I have no problem paying for work that was done and that's what I offered. I refuse to be conned and swindled. Anyone can stand around in someone's house and bill hourly. But they didn't even hold up to the work that was agreed to be done. Four hours would have been plenty of time to at least get the majority done. I don't live in a mansion. We are talking 800 square feet of space and I didn't even ask them to do the den so it's even less. BEWARE of these con artists. read more
