Well what can i say really... Food is good, cost is still expensive order for your unborn childs 18th birthday because delivery takes a ridiculous amount of time.
From the items I've had on the menu I have been fairly pleased with them in terms of taste but often portions are half empty or half full depending on the way you look at it. The price you pay certainly isn't worth the dishes since after the meal you feel like you have hardly ate a thing.
Now the main issue Nice & spicy have is their delivery time, enough time to please a woman but to much to please the customers, seriously. Now don't get me wrong I wouldn't expect the food to take 10 minutes like it would at the chip shop but when you get your food an hour after they told you it would be at your house then we have problems.
It takes 5 minutes tops to drive along the road from the shop, 10 in maybe the apocalypses but after calling up and being told it would be along shortly to then call up -20- minutes later for them to say it will be along in a few minutes kinda tells the story they never started cooking the food till at least 40 minutes before we got it which would have been 10 minutes after they said it would be with us. This is the point where the person hung up on us, yes the shop hung up on the customer for asking where our food was, no even offering us a discount.
There is no excuse for this lateness if the place is busy then why not give a more realistic time rather than purely lying to customers.
Would not recommend Nice & spicy to anyone that likes having their food on time. This is not a one time thing either EVERY time without fail they have been late, now understandably you would expect the opening night to be slow, okay fair game, but every single time.... really just really.
Personally I have waited in the shop 40 minutes after they said it would be ready to which I got some free poppadoms.. oh good that was totally worth the wait....
If you want to waste time and like waiting on your food then sure give them a call, otherwise I'd HIGHLY suggest driving to Edinburgh and getting an Indian takeaway from there as you will get it and come back faster than ordering local. read more
