Such delicious pizza! We stopped in on our way upstate. Flew in from KC and wanted & my boys wanted some authentic NYC pizza and we were not disappointed. We also tried the garlic knots, Stromboli, and Sicilian pizza. Perfect flavors and sauce. The manager clearly takes pride in their pizza, telling us about the flour, sauce and cheese. Great clean environment, a few stools and a counter to sit at. Prices were very reasonable. Thanks Yelpers for the recommendation! Very convenient stop from LaGuardia on our way up north.

Bambola pizza

The food was incredible! I got the Bambola pizza, Alfresco sandwich , nutella calzone and the lemon pastry cream bomboloni . Everything was a 10/10. The owner was hospitable. The music was good. The atmosphere was very welcoming. It's a tiny bit off the beaten path, and so worth it !

Regular and pepperoni slice

Thin slice was classic. Pepperoni Sicilian wasn't anything special. Staff was very nice.

Personal Margherita Pie

Amazing pizza with ingredients imported straight from Italy & the sweetest shop owner! He took the time to explain the menu to us, tell us about the discount offered to service workers, offered us gelato samples & did a pretty cool presentation with our personal margherita pies! 10/10 everyone in my group loved this shop and we were so happy we stumbled upon it.

One of the best pizza spots uptown! Perfect crust, love the olive oil drizzle and freshly grated Parmesan cheese! The Margherita slice was also delicious. My new go to for pizza!

Pizza by the slice. They also make full pies

Great new place opened 2024 on Amsterdam between 165 and 166. Easy walk from the Columbia hospital campus. Try the Sicilian Pepperoni slice with hot honey and definitely have the chili sauce on the side. Also their small batch artisanal gelato. Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean place, counter seating, AC, didn't see a bathroom. Would definitely come back when I'm in the mood for a slice or gelato. Near some good pedestrian plazas for outdoor seating.

Solid local joint. Loved the white pizza. Less pepperoni than I'm used to on the pepperoni pie, but still tasty.

I came here in single digit weather, and wow did the hot chocolate hit. The hot chocolate was super rich, to the point where it felt like drinking straight liquid chocolate. The inside is super fun, with half the store dedicated to gelato and half to chocolate. The decorations were unique and fun! The service was really friendly! They helped us go through the flavors as well as buying various chocolates. Overall, Venchi is a great spot for amazing desserts!

He had never been to a gelato and I suggested it! (I've been to one other location) The second you walk, the place feels lavish. The storefront is pristine and gorgeously furnished. The chocolatiers/gelatieres are so warm and one walked up to us while we in line and explained the size options and options for what they will coat our cups and cones with - I think the options were dark chocolate or hazelnut. You also are able to sample any flavors before choosing! Being that I just ate, I got myself a small treat, a "baby" cup of pistachio gelato. They had the Dubai chocolate pistachio flavor as well, but I felt that one was too sweet for my liking. I was very happy with my pistachio! My sister in law enjoyed fruity gelatos and my brother a rich, dark chocolate. Every gelato comes with a chocolate, which is a nice added touch. The store was clean, the workers very hospitable and the gelato delicious and authentic! Thank you Venchi for an awesome experience, as always!

The hot chocolate is thick, like drinking warm pudding before it is set. They let you taste before you order. Once you decide what you want, you go to the back of the store and order using a digital kiosk. Once you have paid, you hand your order ticket to the staff and they prepare it for you. We've been twice for vegan gelato trying the chocolate, mango, and strawberry. We also tasted the lime basil which was delicious, but didn't seem like it would go with chocolate, and I can't turn down a good chocolate gelato. :) I'm guessing this place is a madhouse in the summer. Its winter now, so there is a steady stream of people, but it isn't crowded.

The flavors were totally lacking in so many of them that we sampled! Even the ones we picked were very bleh compared to other gelato places. The ambiance was just alright and service was quite poor. The girl working was friendly but the guy, not so much. And both were the only ones working and it was soo busy liens were so long service was slower and no one to give samples. Had to order separately at kiosk with all the flavors prior to going up to them making it very inefficient and time consuming process unless you already know everything you want Got the classic cone 4 flavors for $10 and cone upgrade $2 for chocolate hazelnut side and the chocolate was so thin it was barely anything and same with the hazelnuts, very disappointing. Couldn't even finish the cone itself because it tasted so bad. Just cone for the picture and that's it to be honest, nothing else going for it, prefer others in the city!

Apparently this little gelato cart is seasonal and only out May through October. To me the good gelato has to have that perfect gelato texture and theirs did not disappoint. It was delicious! I had two scoops - pistachio and mokaccino (coffee and chocolate ) and my friend had a scoop of fresh strawberry and a scoop of chocolate mint on a cone. The mint had fresh sprigs of mint. So good. They also had sorbet (sorbetti) for those who can't have dairy or are vegan. (Or just love fruit sorbet!) The non-dairy options were coconut and raspberry. I definitely want to come back and try the raspberry sorbet Also, the fountain there is so beautiful, a great place to eat gelato, watch the fountain, and people watch.
