One of the most well organized, professional and affordable things to do in Niagara. It's about 10 minutes journey from the falls via Uber. And note: no booking needed. You can experience long lines when the tour buses drop off but the operation is designed well where that line just diminishes very quickly, Each helicopter takes 7 people comfortably and we lost count after seeing 5 helicopters in the sky at once. They just keep coming. Affordable? Get a $20 coupon leaflet at most hotels on the falls. Considering the cost of everything at the falls for a 12-15 minute tour in a nice helicopter it's well worth the price. Even the photo opportunities they try and sell are worth the cost and cheaper than Skylon and other places in town. Couple of things to note. One is lack of cell signal at the location. Even with international roaming we had to walk down the path to get a signal to order an Uber back! I'm taking a star off, as the grind staff were not patient at all with someone with a disability trying to climb into the cockpit on their small steps. I asked if I could climb in one side as it's better for me and they refused. So taking my time to get in the other side two people attempted to push me in, not gently. That's not right and it just took longer for me to step back and tell them to back off. Which they did. The manager who was running the waiting line knew and allowed me time to get up to the helicopter but once there they are dead set on loading you quickly. Not appreciated. But still very enjoyable

Great experience to see the falls from the sky, but also would recommend taking the hornblower boat ride, it takes you very close to the falls. You will get soaking wet, but if it's a nice warm weather, then it's like jumping in to the pool.

In order to give this amazing adventure justice, you really have to click on this link to their website, and see the video right there on their homepage that will make you want to sign up for this ride of your life instantly--my brother Adam G. saw this video online and said, Sarah we are doing this. http://www.niagarahelicopters.com/ So now that you have watched that, are you sitting down yet? It is pretty exciting stuff, eh?? Well being in the actual helicopter, although it feels way shorter than it actually is, is simply a thrill. The helicopter lands, you run up to it, under its beat propeller blades, you are trying to hold your hair back, not trip, and then you climb into the seat, you are buckled in, head phones go on, and then you are up up up into the air. Be sure to BRING YOUR CAMERA WITH YOU. The photos I took from this helicopter and showed to my family and friends made them think I should take up photography, because the views you get are unbelievable, breathtaking, and spectacular. Words cannot even describe how it feels to be up so high, in a helicopter that is moving so quickly that when it turns to give you another glimpse of these amazing falls makes you feel a little bit of the g forces acting on your body. My brother's face lit up with joy. He looked like a little kid at christmas!! Except with his eyes open even wider than usual! To see the falls up close is one thing, but if you have the money, and even if you don't, you should save up for this experience, because it is probably something I will remember for the rest of my life.

This is truly a first class operation. Anyone looking to start an aerial tour company needs to fly with these guys to see how they do it. For the traveler it's a lot of fun. Try to schedule your ride so that you don't have a completely full aircraft and you'll have a virtually private tour. I've hired these guys for tours, charters and for an engagement. Wonderful service, attention to detail, and they deliver an exhilarating tour of the falls.

We had a wonderful time and the view was breathtaking!! It would've been a five star review if the ride was more than 9 mins!

Definitely worth the money!!! My wife, 20 month old son and myself took a flight over Niagra(4/2/2019) and boy was it worth it. We were hesitant at first with our son being so young. It was either going to be pleasurable or a disaster! We waited about 15 mins after paying to actually take off but it wasnt a bad wait. Before the flight took off i was worried about it being a rough ride with a 1 1/2 year old on my lap. After getting in the air, all of those concerns were alleviated. The rode was pretty smooth for a cold and windy day. The pilot actually tilta the bird to the sides so you could see Niagra Falls easily opposed to having to lift out of your seat to see. The ride was about 15-20 mins which was excellent. Its a narrated flight and excellent for photos and views. I cant say enough about it and the photos taken before you depart on your flight are actually GOOD! All and all, i would do this again and recommend. Plus they honored the discount we had from the Butterfly Conservatory that we had.

The provide a poncho (way better than the cave of the winds poncho, if you are doing both, save this one), the poncho of course is to protect you from the water, because that is what poncho's do. You have two choices here. 1) You can stay on the bottom deck of the boat, and I hear you can remain fairly dry, but I cannot attest to that as, you are at Niagara Falls, you should be on the top deck, getting wet! 2) The Top deck, the Upper decker, they have some seating up here, and great views. The boat navigates so that all sides of the boat get equal views of the falls and get to experience the massive mist generated, no it's not raining on you it's the falls. So, don't be one of those pushing into people/groups to get your shot, be patient you will get your turn. Yes there will be people taking selfies for the entire duration or groupies (not sure what its called if its more than 1), Yes they will claim part of the deck for the entire trip, this is easy resolved with a gentle nudge as they enjoy a small quick journey overboard and get the VIP experience. Wait no, don't actually do that, just ask people to move and/or take a picture of you with the falls in the background. Everyone was friendly!

I mean there's also Cave of the Winds but that's a more intense experience. I decided to visit during late afternoon so there wasn't much of a crowd. They load the ships every 20 minutes or so as each trip takes about 20 minutes. Definitely wear waterproof clothing or clothing that easily dries if you can because from the knees down, it will get soaked and maybe the sleeves too. I put my phone into a waterproof bag to capture the ride and a good thing I did because otherwise it would've gotten drenched. Tickets can be pre-purchased online or day of. Check the hours before visiting as they change depending on the season. An elevator took me down to the bottom where I got my poncho and lined up to board the ship. Apparently these ponchos are thicker than the ones at Cave of the Winds (so the rumors say). I made sure to pull the hood on tight and secured it with the plastic strings and it definitely held up against the waterfall winds! I got a blue one when I visited but noticed the next day, they were handing out red ones (twinsies with the Canadian Hornblower). Top deck is the spot to be to get the best experience. The ship brings us by one of the falls that has a light mist blowing towards us with a gentle wind. Then as we got closer to Horseshoe Falls, boy could I feel the wind and mist blowing my poncho around. My sleeves, pants and shoes were drenched and the water was blowing so fast at me that I could barely see! It was actually so much fun to experience! How else can I get this close to the falls? Wearing sunglasses also helped to keep some of the water out of my eyes. The ship stayed there for quite a while before making a U turn to head back to land. It really felt like I was in the middle of a torrential downpour. Afterwards, take another elevator up to the observation deck to get another great view of the Niagara Falls. Honestly this was so much fun, I definitely want to try the Canadian version too next time! And maybe Cave of the Winds (on Goat Island).

I will admit I have never been out of the country, and Yelping was a little rougher for me when it came to restaurants. I just didn't know distances from the hotel to where I was looking for things to do. So, I left food to them. I had fun finding activities for them, and this boat ride ended up being another success on my scoreboard. You do have to schedule a time, but they ended up not checking the time, they just scanned the tickets I forwarded to my husband's email. Easy enough. So, FYI, the Canadian boat typically has more people on the cruise than the U.S. side. It was packed! Not sure how I would have like that, but those things don't bother them like they do me. They will get you very close to the falls, and you will get pretty wet, but they do give you a poncho before you leave on the cruise. The cruise was about 20 minutes for $42 Canadian dollars. It was definitely something they would do again. It was really easy for me to book. 9/24/25
