I recently re-sided my entire home and decided that it was time to update the color of our metal roof that covers the front porch of our house. New Haven Painters did an excellent job! They recommended quality materials that will last a good long time, and prepared the roof perfectly (washed, primed, etc.). While they were here, I also had them touch up white paint on columns and headers around the house. They matched the paint perfectly to the new Azek. It looks fantastic. Paul was tremendously helpful throughout the project. Lots of great recommendations and advice. I will definitely use them again. Very professional and reasonably priced. I personally had a terrible experience with New Haven Painters. After reading reviews, I went with them only to be left extremely disappointed with the process. They initially quoted me 4-5 days to paint the exterior of my home, but it ended up taking over a month. Throughout the process, I had to constantly reach out for updates and was even told by my "project manager" to stop reaching out to the office and if I had concerns to reach out to him. After voicing my complaints of the project manager, I was informed that the employee was let go because of the issues I raised. While I appreciate accountability, it shouldn't have taken my frustrations for the company to address their internal problems. Overall, this was an unprofessional and stressful experience. It's disappointing when a company fails to communicate effectively. I was left as a paying customer feeling undervalued and frustrated. I truly do not think this company is best for working families with the lack of urgency displayed by New Haven Painters. I spoke with an absurd amount of people to voice my concerns and still frustrated with this company for the headache they caused me a month later. Update 12/16 - The paint on my back door is peeling. Project finished Oct. 10th and started August 22nd. read more

I can't say enough about the job new haven painters did on our house. we had rotting loose shingles and it was obvious that shortcuts had been taken in the past. New Haven painters and the carpenters they hired did a superb job replacing all the shingles on one side of the house, replacing other shingles elsewhere and then doing a great job painting. Our tudor house is full of gables and trim - not the easiest to paint! We also had a-lot of rain while they were here and they were very responsive to concerns about that. Thank you Arturo and his son, the carpenters, Jesus and Paul. My neighbor, who has lived next door since the 70's, said the house looked the best she'd seen it in fifty tears! We had New Haven painters do two rounds of painting for our house that we were about to put on the market. The first round went well. For the second round, we had a number of issues that were never resolved. There were several small things that were not satisfactory and could have easily been touched up. And our front hallway was supposed to be painted white to cover a light green -- but the green remains showing through. We were not told that it would need more coats -- nor indeed that what they had done did not cover it. They said that they would come back and make it right, but they didn't do so. read more

We found them through an internet search, after getting poor responses from several other contractors, and one ridiculously overpriced estimate from one of them. From first contact, Todd and his crew were punctual, super-responsive to texts and emails, and provided a detailed and very fair estimate for the work. Work began as scheduled, and was finished within a week. The crew took care to not damage our considerable flowers and shrubs at the foundation walls. the principal crew chief Wilson was a pleasure to work with, in constant contact with us, and very responsive to a number of nit-picking requests. I spoke to Paul and agreed on what I felt was a reasonable amount to do some finish painting that included caulking and painting some crown molding and trim. The crew that showed up; Brandon, Roman and Gilberto were efficient, hard working and very polite I could not have been more pleased with the workmanship either. Very disappointed. The painters came and left spots behind the toilet and vanity undone. I had to go back and re-do the work. They also did not take light switch covers off before painting and painted around them. Poor job cutting along the trim and blotches left. There was a part of trim they said they could not do because they couldn't reach it. My friend ended up painting the trim with no issues. Paint splatters left on trim, doors, floors and vanity. I had to spend time washing them off. Dust everywhere. Covers not used to protect furniture. NHP definitely needs to train their painters better. They did not speak English so I had a hard time communicating with them about the job they were supposed to do. I eventually hired someone else to finish the job and fix the poorly done areas. read more
