The NHS Dental Clinic is a walk in centre for people who are not registered with a dentist, cannot get an appointment with their dentist or are in immediate attention at the weekend. There is usually a long waiting time which is not too good if you are in pain. The dentist charges a set price for every appointment and then charge you extra for whatever treatment you will be needing it does work out to be pricier then what it would have been if you were registered with a dentist. very handy in a emergency, my dentist closed down and never even got notified me,i only found out when i had severe toothache,my first visit was alright,but upon visiting i was told i had a abcess and needed a course of antibiotics,to clear it,however it did not work,i went back hoping to be given more antibiotics to clear it however the receptionist,was very off with me telling me you have visited once for treatment,you should of then registered with a new dentist,i explained i really needed no further dental work, just that i needed furher antibiotics for a abcess,diagnosed,she would not make me a further appointment so had no treatment has my doctor would not help either telling me i needed a dentist.i was not very happy. read more
