Matuk gave me a colonoscopy without ever a follow up. So Mary or Mark; hope I didn't get the gender wrong, the office manager, refused me because they said I saw another VA doctor. Why would the VA make an appointment with Matuk if I saw another doctor? That didn't make sense or wasn't a logical reason refuse to see me OR it's because of my service to this country. Dr. Matuk's office refused me because of my veterans service or because of my ethnic background as a Native American! I have 2 excellent insurances both Blue Cross/Blue Shield and the VA insurance but was refused service. As a proud member of the VA and the American Legion of California, I will be informing ALL veterans of this horrible group of medical "professionals" and Matuk's office! Horrible people!!!

I have been with her for over 8 years and she is a doctor who listens, addresses concerns, and puts patient care at the center of her practice. She is clear with options and risks with medications, and is clear with follow up instructions. She is a very professional, kind, and caring doctor. I am always able to get into see her in a reasonable time and have referred other friends to her who have also told me how much they like that they have a doctor who listens. Dr. Sharma has given me referrals as needed over the years to specialists who have also been very helpful in addressing other medical needs that have come up with illnesses, injuries, and required testing that is needed with aging. One of the best things about this practice is that you can get your bloodwork done in house - so it's nice to have a morning appointment, come to the appointment fasting, and get your bloodwork done right away- no other appointments or trips to a lab needed! Her office staff is very nice and helpful. They are efficient with paperwork needs and have always been professional and friendly. If you are looking for a primary care physician, Dr. Sharma might be your great fit!

Instead, redid all of the medical tests. He sent me to a specialist but did not agree with her recommendations. Instead he sent me for a second opinion, and I am very thankful. I now have a plan, that is much less life changing, and I found this second specialist extremely knowledgeable with a clear path forward including all possibilities. I am so glad Dr. Bhangoo took the time and interest to be sure I had the right specialist with the right knowledge.

As a person he is just a great and good guy. I have come here for years and will never leave. He really cares about his patients and their families. If I were to give advice I would encourage him to get a PA-C or Nurse Practitioner to speed things up on the minor illnesses.

In my third visit with her, today, I had to literally walk out and won't be back! I asked other staff if she was just having a bad day. So consistently condescending but today she was actually rude. I asked about side effects of a particular drug she stated no one had ever complained to her before and dismissed my question. Then when I asked her to clarify something she got irritated with me and started with more condescension. If you don't agree with her she will belittle you into thinking you're the one that's wrong rather than explaining like most doctors! No thanks! Update: 04/15/26 - I spoke with Dr Gilli on the phone and it's seems they are somewhat flippant and unapologetic in their attitude towards the situation. I don't feel comfortable with this response that she "always" treats patients with respect after I conveyed the opposite in a professional manner over the phone. I had severe respiratory problems, my physician was out of town and I was referred to her. Dr. Abraham saved me! She really knows medications and has amazing diagnostic skills. She uses technology to track your medical information, progress and follow up.
