Gas station extension
Tia R.

This is an enjoyable simple smash burger. Crispy edges, minimal sauce, picnic seating, a gas station extension and no drinks on their menu. If you are looking for a burger place with no frills this is it. Lately I have seen simple food "elevated" beyond recognition. Deconstructed Bespoke bologna sandwiches and gruyere/caviar artisan pizza slices. It's nice to see a neighborhood restaurant where a burger is just a burger. At $9.00 for a double they have the price to match. Service was great, the staff will take care of you and smile along the way. This place can't really hold a crowd so a couple or up to four people can stay comfortably. I won't be back just because I don't live close and I prefer a tomato on my burger.

Well after saying I was gonna go. I finally went. This is suppose to be the best burger in Georgia. Im not gonna debate that. However, it was very good. I would add it to my personal top favorites. The burger was quite taste. The owner ( I think it was him). Was outside in the picnic area. He was checking on his customers and letting us know if we needed anything, don't hesitate to ask. To me thats says alot. Im glad i went, and will definitely be returning.

Pretty darn good burger. At first glance it looked small, but it packed a nice punch and was surprisingly filling. Simple ingredients, executed really well. I'd take this over Mister Burger. NFA has that classic ketchup, mustard, and mayo flavor with its signature sauce, while Mister Burger is tasty but leans away from that traditional burger profile. I'm not ready to call it the best burger in Atlanta just yet. Fred's Meat & Bread at Krog Street Market is still my favorite, but Holeman & Finch is next on my list, so stay tuned. My only downside is the Dunwoody location, but honestly it wasn't bad. I made the trip from Buckhead and back in under 30 minutes. There were only two people ahead of me, and I had my food in about five minutes. I've heard the waits can get much longer during busy times, so just keep that in mind.

Food: 3/5 The burgers were flavorful, but everything was extremely greasy -- almost drenched in oil. For the price point, it honestly felt closer to upgraded fast food than a premium burger experience. Food came out in about 15 minutes. Atmosphere: 3/5 Interesting concept being inside a gas station, but the setup felt cramped and chaotic. There's usually a line blocking the entrance, 6-7 people packed into the tiny open kitchen, and all seating is outside. Self-serve setup with no active cleaning happening while we were there. Make sure to grab napkins inside and note that drinks have to be purchased separately from the gas station. Service: 3/5 Staff was working hard and food came out reasonably fast, but the overall experience felt disorganized and not very polished considering the prices. Everything is self serve- from getting napkins to putting up your own trash.

This place is a gem in Dunwoody. I came here around the time when they first opened and they have really gotten the recognition they deserve since then. It's tucked under a chevron gas station but don't sleep on this little burger shop. They have THE best smash burger in town. They've expanded a seating area out back which is so nice because we ordered our food and these nice young Dunwoody kids brought it out to us. The flavors, textures and combination of their burgers are delicious. Sometimes I crave them and wish I lived closer. If you're in Atlanta, you NEED to stop here!

Perfect spot for a DELICIOUS casual burger. Came here on a Friday- service was good, parking was easy and food was great!!!

It's a solid smash burger for fast food out of a gas station. Nice spice kick in the seasoning, good gooey-ness with the cheese, texture from the pickle. Tots were really nicely fried and crispy. I don't understand putting it over some of the fine-dining burgers available in ATL at multiple locations that are clearly superior. Nice place, fun atmosphere, good burger. But tap the brakes on the 'best in Atlanta' talk.

Burger and Sassy Fries

Was recommend this place by a trustworthy source and countless social media videos. I've only had a few smash burgers in my day so why not try one that is slinging them on the inside of a gas station. Strange, but understandable ordering process--there's a small kiosk manned by two dudes and they tell you they'll bring your order to your car. A bit packed inside the small gas station but it's easy to figure out what's going on pretty quickly. Thought the burger lacked any texture to the point where it was almost mushy. Fries were less than impressive. I'll give it another shot probably because of the hype.

Got 2 single smash burgers and enjoyed the quick process for a well priced burger! Solid 3.5 stars! The burgers were close to $6 each and I got fries for $4. The smashburger was simple with the american cheese and pickles and the bread was soft. They add a sauce that brings it together well. The fries had a great crunch and were well seasoned. This place is attached to a gas station, so you just wait in line, order, and they walk it to your car or to the picnic tables outside. Lots of parking in the surrounding back lot for free. Very easy and satisfying if youre looking for a quick and yummy burger fix. There was a line that took about 10 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. It moved very quickly. Workers were friendly and answered my questions. I had a good experience. If I lived nearby, I would definitely pop in for a burger from time to time!

This venue sits inside of a Chevron gas station. There is not a dining area on the inside. People either eat in their car or at the picnic area under the trees. They will bring your order to your car or the picnic area. I ordered the Double - Classic with tots. The tots came with sassy sauce. They do not sell drinks but the gas station sells plenty of them. The tots were cooked to order and tasted normal. The sassy sauce was normal as well. The burger was surprisingly good. You can tell that the tots are cooked in beef tallow but I wonder if they do the same with the burgers. The beef flavor was through the roof. I will return.

Came by on a Saturday around 11:45 and there was a line with a good amount of people eating outside! Walk into the Chevron and there us a cashier to the right for NFA. Ordered and they said they would bring it to my car. Didn't have to wait too long despite the line. Burgers were tasty and juicy. Wished there was a more bit more sauce and that it came with tomato and lettuce without having to pay extra. We also got the vienna hot dog which was thick and juicy. Pretty filling meal and would return!

Food tasted great! The patty was seasoned well and the food was hot. It was a cute ambiance with picnic tables in the back to enjoy eating on. The only thing that took it from a 5 star to 4 star was the price- everything was a bit pricey; we spent $32 for 2 burgers and 2 sides of fries from the gas station- was hoping to pay more like $25 for the food ordered. The owner's sister circled around the picnic tables to check in on all the customers to ensure their experience was positive which meant a lot to me. The famous gas station burger lived up to the hype!

My review of this place seems to have been inaccurate. Let me update this to 1 star, as 0 stars is not an option. Based on the response from the business, it seems only positive reviews are accepted and you must go along with the crowd instead of having your own opinion, or you get ATTACKED. How disgusting and unnecessary. I didn't like it. And that's fine. Everyone else does so you should continue to thrive... Never have I seen a business respond to an unfavorable review that still praised the team, but was honest about the taste, respond so crudely. Bravo! You must have time on your hands, but I don't. Good day to you sir, there is no "next time".

The menu was easy to read and even had a middle board that highlight favorite go tos I ordered the bacon cheeseburger basket which came with fries and a drink and the 3 birrira tacos for myself. Everything was cooked fresh to order. The ambience was pretty swell. I can see this place getting lively in the evenings and weekends. My only complaint was that I didn't find out about it sooner! Every time I've been I actually haven't been up to the bar area but you can see the steps so you know they're there. It's free parking because it's in Sandy springs so don't have to worry about trying to pay so that's good! I tried a couple of things but my most recent trip I went for the burger. You order at the counter and you can order anything there out of the all the restaurants they have. So you can order from any of five different spots and one register but I came specifically for Burger time. Birria burger - Now this burger was pretty good. It wasn't amazing but it was good. It needed an extra something. Typically. If you have this type of Taco you'll have something that you can dip the taco in, but the burger just came a little bit more dry and I feel like they could have had something extra to help it along. Queso fries - the fries were good. I feel like they kind of skimped a little bit on the queso, but other than that though they came out very crispy and the queso that was there was pretty flavorful. Onion rings - At this point I was just being a glutton LOL. Bunion rings were good and they had come back sauce and another sauce with them. I feel like they were kind of fried a little too hard though. But anybody could have an off day, not a big deal. You just don't want to cut your gums up like Captain crunch while you're trying to chew an onion ring LOL! Eventually I'll try the other couple of things. Like I haven't had the taco spot there yet, but it's on my list of things to do. It's a good duck off if you're in the area because there's a shopping area right across the street, so if you're in that Hood, I would definitely suggest giving it a checkout.

Based on the reviews and pictures I saw I decided to give Three Buddies a try. Three Buddies was easy to find as it sits right on the main road. They have their own parking lot so there is ample parking so once I turned, I hopped into a park and we headed inside. Three Buddies has a simple decor as the design aesthetic is straightforward and leaves the focus on the restaurant name itself. The restaurant was very clean and had a diner style setup with ample seating. Once seated, the waitress approached us with a warm smile and cheerful greeting. She provided us with menus, took our drink order, and allowed us some time to review the menus in full. With a variation of halal items on the menu, Three Buddies had me wanting a little bit of everything. However, I decided to go with a classic approach and get the Chicken Sandwich (fried) with Onion Rings (both well done). Once our order was placed, it was back to the enjoyment of the ambiance as we engaged in our conversation. When our food arrived at the table, the visual presentation was extra enticing. The aroma was captivating and after saying grace, o was ready to eat. Now, the fries are an experience. They come in a tall cup with a very dramatic presentation and a generous portion. I chose the Cajun X seasoning, which ended up being a little too heavily seasoned for me. I probably ate about 15 fries before calling it quits, and there were easily several servings left. I also did not fully register that the fries were $8 when ordering, so keep that in mind. Overall, the burger was good, filling, and well seasoned. I would order it again, but next time I would probably skip the oversized fries or choose a lighter seasoning.
