I would rather wrestle Satan than deal with this facility and the lady that handles payments every month since being taken over by Nexus! She's incredibly rude and condescending. I've NEVER had a pleasant experience with her....ever. And I have been a patient with this practice for 15 years! Because I don't have health insurance and due to circumstances at home, (I live with a partner that is abusive and have been working on an exit plan for several years), we made an agreement when Nexus took over for Dr. Patel, that I will do a drug screen every three months because of the exorbitant cost and because my abuser/former partner was paying the bill and I had to endure his anger every time I come in. On February 26th, of 2026, overnight, I had to flee my home and my abuser, and enter a Domestic Violence shelter in North Georgia. I literally left with the clothes on my back! I am also a self pay patient because I am unemployed because of my abuser. My last appointment was February 22nd and I took a drug screen and paid $325.00. Today is Thursday, April 23rd and I came in for my next appointment and before I even started to check in, I was asked for payment of $325.00. The shelter had provided me with a letter to prove I am a resident, enough gas to drive the 2.5 hours to get here, and provided me with the normal monthly payment of $150.00. I also had to get up at 4:30 am and leave by 5:30 am, to make the long drive down and be here by 8:00 am. Upon check-in, I quietly explained my situation because I was told I would be paying another $325.00 for this visit. (Completely against the agreement we have had for the last several years...again!), I asked if I could speak to the billing manager to explain my circumstances and show them the paperwork that the shelter provided. For the record, I have NEVER FAILED a drug screen. In 15 (fifteen) years, I have NEVER failed one! I also bring my medication in voluntarily, to be counted when I come in. They have never asked me to, but they make me feel so incredibly uncomfortable about it, I automatically bring it in, because I am fearful of being accused of something nefarious and want to be as open and honest as I possibly can. As a matter of fact, I am only given a 1 month supply and I break them in half some days to try and stretch them as far as they will go, in order to save money. So technically, I don't even take as much as prescribed. I am 100% in compliance! The last time I was here, I finally spoke to the NP about it and she told me not to worry, that she knew I was being extremely cautious and that I was doing everything right. She said she would speak to the front office staff about it and she would let them know that I was completely in compliance! I start a new job next week, and I will be working in a factory, which will be extremely stressful on my body. I will also be on a 90 day probationary period where I cannot miss a day, or I will receive a point on my record. I made the appointment for today, so that I can avoid being penalized, and so I could make sure I have enough medication to perform the job duties that will ultimately help me escape the abuse that I was living in. Again....I am doing everything possible to mitigate my circumstances but because NEXUS refuses to adhere to the agreement we made, I had to leave and was refused service. Hence the reason I have reached my limit and am writing this review. Ironically, after 90 days on the new job, I will have health insurance and won't have to deal with this. Not to mention, Nexus will actually make MORE MONEY because self pay patients are given a reduced rate. Furthermore, after stepping away to call my new job and the shelter to see if I could reschedule the appointment, I could hear them talking about me behind my back at the front desk. They were laughing and complaining about me and I heard EVERY WORD! For someone that just escaped domestic violence, these ladies retraumatized me today, wasted what little resources I had and will now cost me a point at my new job. read more

The Doctors and Nurses are superb!! They see you on time and throughly listen to what you're saying and offering a course of treatment. I've been seeing them for a little over a year for my back and we have worked on everything from medication management to epidurals. I've needed a few referrals and once I requested the referral, usually with in a week the other doctors are calling me. The front office staff is very friendly and helpful a as well. read more

At my first visit I was surprised at the shabbiness of the waiting room of the Columbus location. The exam area was shabby but clean. I saw Dr. Prinsell who seemed nice and knowledgeable. They made me an appointment for an epidural but I had a conflict. I needed a different appointment and had to coordinate it with my driver, her job, and my job. It is not possible to call and talk to the scheduler. I called twice a day for 3 days before someone called me back. That was very frustrating. The procedure was done on the surgery center side. The carpet in the waiting room had a giant stain about which I couldn't stop wondering what happened there. The procedure went well. However, I was given so much anesthesia with a pain med that I had no memory of the procedure, the recovery, being taken downstairs and wheeled out to my driver's car. I can't say if anyone spoke to me after the procedure and gave me a report and instructions. I did have a sheet that they had put in my pocket. It concerned me to be sent home while so high. I got home and slept for hours. I've had that procedure done at a different facility and was completely alert at discharge. read more

i really wish i didn't have to deal with people like this. they have messed up my appointments, not called in prescriptions correct on several occasions and then blame me for it. all they really want to do it "push" procedures on you. you can NEVER get a live person on the phone. This time they have messed up my prescription, I left 3 voicemails(with no call back). they want you to put messages on your "patient portal" (which is useless), but i put messages there and the "request refill" and STILL no response. they really don't care about people. read more

The most unprofessional establishment I've ever encountered. I wish I could give them a double 0! My husband is a patient. We have three insurances - never should have been charged a co-pay of $75. The lazy receptionist/office guy in LaGrange asked if we had additional insurance, my husband showed his military ID because Tricare Prime is one of our three. He took pictures but did not verify the insurance. When I questioned him about the co-pay, he was rude of course and directed me to the office on the side of the building. Rude is an understatement - the billing department, over the phone, onsite; however, I match the same energy. They feel as if I should not be frustrated about "MY" money that you need to refund me. I spoke to a "supposedly" office manager there and the $75 co-pay was supposedly backed out and my card would not be charged. Needless to say, it was charge on 7/24th. It is now August 25th and I am still getting the same response, "it's sitting with the refund department and I'm not sure when it will be sent out". However, the account balance is 0 because they've verified all three insurances. Make it make sense? Each week I call, same response. I can guarantee that they are getting over on older patients that do not have a family member to "question" their unethical work practices. I would not refer my worst enemy to them. I am going to also contact the Better Business Bureau because this is ridiculous. If the account has a 0 balance, why can't they refund the co-pay that they never should have initiated. read more

Incompetent Doctors, Nurses and Staff... I just had a procedure on my back in which they injected me 6 times, 3 times each, on both sides of my Lumbar Spine without any sedation. I was told that it was just lidocaine... whatever it was it has cause severe back pain for me... I can barely walk today a month later. I hiring a lawyer to look into my situation. I've noticed that they have cleaned-up my records but little do they know I've provided my lawyer with a set that I downloaded form their App before the altered my record... a pure sigh of being dishonest on their part. They tried everything to not give me a letter of discharge and pain medication. Bottom line: they are just rushing people through their process of racketeering to make maximum profit without caring about us patients. I've been going there since 2016. They treated me for lower back problems and never once ordered a MRI to see if my condition has worsen since 2016. People get a copy of your records NOW just in case you end up injured by their lack of quality care. Why don't they share the results of one urine test. They was supposed to bill the VA but they choose to bill Medicare/Tri-care for Life. I wonder why... lazy or more money. Impossible to contact by phone if need be. Have had previous procedures with other pain clinics and received no relief. This clinic actually was able to take some pain away. The procedure is quick and the process is fairly efficient. Doctor and nurses are professional and polite. For people complaining about their front desk, I believe it's probably because it's Georgia and customer service in general for the entire area/culture is below average. I have been to many hospitals/clinics in the area and their hospital staff is like any other hospital staff. Wait time is like any wait time at any other hospital. Overall I came back for another procedure a year later because it's worth it. read more

I can't believe this place. You try to check in when you arrive and you are ignored. Then you see the doctor and they don't call in your prescriptions you have to go a full month without medication. Why bother seeing the doctor and wasting you time. I have used the patient portal to get a hold of the doctors left messages and no one calls you back. I arrived to my appointment at 0915. Appointment was at 0930 and its 1032. While writing this post they, FINALLY called me into the back and go my weight (time 10:36) I asked the nurse, What time was my appointment? Because after waiting for an hour in one room and having to wait in another room, is really trying my patients. So let's start the timer. (Its 1038 right now. Time stop at 1046. 8minutes for the nurse to get my vitals, blood pressure, temp) Lets time the doctor to see how long it takes him to walk into my room. Start time at 1054. End time at 1122. Took the doctor almost 30 minutes. And we talk for 10-13 min. While we are waiting for the doctor to come into my room, I did not want an additional hour to be seen. There policy states; if you miss an appointment, you will be billed 50 dollars. What is considered a miss appointment? I'm an hr late for an scheduled visit (fault of the clinic) dont that constitute as a missed appointment? Show they apologize or pay my (neither never happed) However, I was left in the waiting room for Over a hr, like I have nothing to do. This is why I purposely left out a Signure Page that stated, failure to show to appointment on-time signature page you would be billed $50, purposely. And if you all can go to a clinic that is more efficient, do yourself a favor and do it. Additionall Negative: Nurse dont like knocking in doors before entering the room with doctor and patient. Happy I wasn't doing a physical exam with my pants down to my knee's. Its June 26 2019 My appt was at 0930. I went to the front desk at 0945 to see if I was going to be seen soon. The receptionist said my doctor aid was probably clearing the room. This place has a constant issue of running late and the front desk personnel don't t say anything to the patient unless the patients ask. Piss poor. A few of the nurses are great will a good attitude , (she's tall, fair skin with braid- shes awesome. She made light in a dark situation) the others are not - good luck. I have been a patient at this place for awhile, i want to get another pain doctor. i don't have a problem with my PA. the office staff is horrible. their attitudes toward patients is the absolute worst i have ever seen. don't bother calling because you will not get a call back. they have screwed up on my prescriptions, but of course they blamed me. i have tried the nerve block shot(even though i told them i didn't think it would work). as the doctor is looking at the "x-ray" machine for placement, he says, "wow, i have never seen that type hardware"(speaking on the plate in my back). my thought was well if you had been more concerned with me and my history, you might have had an idea. but it is all about the almighty dollar, that is all they care about. they don't call for appointment reminders anymore. they changed their hours and never bother to call and let me know, so when i showed up for my appointment, the door was locked. i called and found out from the recording of the change. wow i was MAD. of course getting another appointment was cutting teeth. advise from me, go elsewhere if you can. these people only care about the $. read more

I see all these negative reviews and I don't understand. I have had nothing but good experiences. Every appointment I have been called back within 15min and have seen the doctor within 30min. This is pretty standard for any doctors office. In three visits, my migraines have been managed, I was provided non opioid relief for my back pain, received an MRI, and was scheduled for injection. As far as the staff goes, it turns out if you act like a decent human, so do they. The nurses are great, the doctors are great, and the staff are helpful My only complaint is that sometimes the patients are extremely rude. read more

Worst place to go for pain management. I'm calling my primary Dr and asking for a new referral to anywhere else. Filled out a 35 page something about what I'm going in for. Arrived 30min early like I was supposed. I had to use the bathroom the entire time because of a urinalysis to be told 1 1/2 hour later the doctor canceled it. The Dr said I was getting a steroid shot, but nurse comes in and tells me they are not doing it because it was never authorized before I got there, I will have to come back another day and I need to reschedule. I got 4 sample pack pain creams for pain ( I already have and I told him do not work at all) just to hold me over for my pain, until November 5th. I'm calling my ins also just to make sure they don't get charged for anything beside talking about what should have been done. If there was a negative stars it would get a -5. read more

First off, I would like to say that Dr Prinsell did a good job with the guided injection in my spine. My insurance paid their part for the procedure and I paid mine and we were done so I thought. From what I understand there are two entities there with one being the "hospital" where they do the procedure and the other being the doctor's offices. Thirty days after my procedure I received a bill from Nexus (Office part I suppose) stating that I owed them money so I called for an explanation. The person on the phone spent some time checking and said that the money was paid or transferred (whatever) to the hospital/ office part by accident and she would fix it and not to worry about the bill, so I didn't. About 30 days later I got another bill stating I still owed the amount and so I called again and explained what I called about the first time and the person quickly said to disregard the bill because it was sent out before the issue was resolved. Again, 30 days after that I received a bill (3rd time) again and called, left a message and the person called me back. I explained again what the previous people had told me and this person said that they would resolve it for me and call me back if I needed to pay it and if they didn't call, don't worry about it, they resolved it. They never called. Today, 30 days later, I received a bill again (4th time) and decided to go ahead and pay it to prevent it being turned over to collections. I would have paid it on the first bill if they would have said I owed it, but all four times they said I did not and gave me a reason why I did not. So, if they are correct, they forced me to pay for something that insurance had already paid. That isn't just or ethical. I certainly would not recommend Nexus Pain Center to anyone. read more

I heard many great things about this practice. And they may be right, but for us it was all wrong. Like other reviews the time frame is just a suggestion on the office side. On the procedure side, they know how to tell time! We always arrived half an hour before appointment, never did we get taken back earlier than an hour after appointment time. First visit: spoke with the doctor, prescribed pretty potent drugs. Not my first choice, but nevertheless followed the professional's advice. Second visit: checked to make sure meds were taken properly, and scheduled test injection. Third visit: report on injection findings, higher dosage of meds. Forth visit: 2nd test injection with steroids. I wasn't aware of this step. Fifth visit: more meds. And told the block injection couldn't be scheduled for 2 months. Had a normal visit with GP. He was NOT impressed with meds nor dosage of meds. They were interacting with meds I have been taking. He weened me off of them. We sat down and discussed other options. And decided on another course of action to relieve the back pain. To top it all off, they would not release my medical records to the other doctor, who requested them five times. I had to go in and request them and to add insult to injury I had to pay 25$ to get them! Did I mention that my GP handed my medical records over to them the first time they asked and for free? read more

This pain center does not respect its clientele. I received a prescription that my pharmacist says was written incorrectly...not something I would have known as a patient. I returned the rx to dr office for correction. After waiting for new rx for over 30 min. I asked and was told it could be an hour or it could be 4 hrs. If u call their office no one answers the phone so I asked if someone could call me when it's ready and answer was no. I was told I could come back at 2:30 when they closed or I could come back next day. So for one appt. I have to make 3 trips to drs. Office because of a mistake they made....my time is valuable too..especially when I'm the one paying the money. I'm disabled and it put an unnecessary hardship on me. It's by far one of the worst medical establishments I have ever been to. Unfortunately, they're the only pain center that has a surgery center so if you need anything other than medication, this is the only place in the area that does it and they know it. This is why they do not care how awful their customer service is. The average wait time for your appointment is 3-4 hours past your appointment time. They think this is normal. The nurses couldn't care less, the doctors barely look at you. I went in for a procedure and they were about to do the wrong side until I corrected it. They literally have ZERO clue about their patients. Their patient portal is a joke. They only put follow up appointments in there, not procedure appointments and NEVER answer the phones. Anytime you walk into the back, they're constantly complaining about their work environment. There's constant turnover, so there's new people every time you're in there. It's honestly just such poor healthcare and service. For the amount of money they make being the ONLY service in this area, you'd think they would be able to have better service. If there was ANY other option, I'd choose it over this place. What an AWFUL place. If you have an option to drive outside of Columbus into Atlanta to see pain management, 100% worth it. read more

If I could give this place a negative zero I would. For this to be a pain management business why in the world would you schedule 3 patients at the same appointment time when Dr Ogleby doesn't even come in until 10:00 and in some cases not until 11:00. You have patients who arrive for their appt on time and have to wait an hour to an 1 1/2 sitting with back, neck, knee and or hip issues. The total amount of time spent here for an appt range from 3-4 hours. Now as far as the actual appt goes Dr. Ogelby does NOT listen when you try to tell him about the side affects from the medication and/or the medication regiment he has prescribed. He spends maybe 5 minutes top in the treatment room with you. The 5 minutes of one on one with the Dr consist of him telling you what you feel like, what your pain feels like instead of listening to you explain what YOU are experiencing. Out of all of my appts he has never ever conducted a physical exam. Physical exam meaning show me how far you can bend your head, walk towards me, or stand and try to bend forward this is a mobility test. If all I wanted was pain medication I would not be writing about my experience at the Nexus Pain Clinic. Nexus Pain Clinic staff on Dr Ogelby's side is a joke. The staff is so unprofessional, they lack customer service there's a lot of talking amongst themselves about personal matters. If you call and leave a message you might as well don't even waste your time they never call you back. The front desk clerks which are the first people you come in contact with they should not even be employed especially the younger girl. Her ability to even listen is non existence she seems to be in la la land and my personal opinion should probably not be the first contact with Nexus Pain Clinic patients. Dr O's Nurse she's very rude and has a nasty attitude. If she doesn't want to deal with patients I recommend she change her profession. I rather be in pain instead to wasting hours of my day dealing with Nexus Pain Clinic what a joke. I want to be pain free not just prescribed pain meds every 30 days along with a copay for each visit. There is one good thing about Nexus Pain Clinic the young lady who schedules your procedures. She's the one you see after your 5 minute encounter with Dr. O. So my husband is in the military and I have had to result into pain management and I just had to have a breast reduction and tummy tuck and day after I was in agonizing pain and moaning from the pain and was out of it. The Burnett women who looks a bit older than me and my husband was flirting with him and when we was leaving told him to take me to car and thought nothing of it of course she made it seem like it would take awhile to give us paper work which takes no longer than 2 minutes... Let me explain I was in a very venerable state and she insist to let him know where she is a waitress at and the nights she works and invites him out to see her. I don't think I have ever been so insulted and disrespected by another fellow women in my life. I am shocked by the unprofessionalism and incompetence of this women. I go back the 27th and will be making a further complaint and may result in finding another doctor. read more
