Dr. Goldman Sorry that we (my wife) and I never had the…read moreopportunity to meet you. My wife was supposed to do that Tuesday February 4, 2025. We had seen your PA the last visit and she set up some test for Phyllis. Tuesday was supposed to be the appointment with Dr Goldman. We arrived a few minutes early and started our wait. No other patients were in the waiting area. After a half hour had passed my wife spoke to the receptionist and asked if we had been forgotten. She made a phone call and shortly we were escorted to Exam room 12 and a one of your staff took some vitals on Phyllis. It was observed that he O2 was low and I then went to our vehicle and got her concentrator. Our wait continued, with no other personal coming into the room. I could hear chatter and laughter from outside the room the whole time. We again waited for well over a half hour when we both decided it was time to leave. As we were leaving one of your employees seemed to note that and asked if we were leaving, I responded that yes, we were as it felt as no one there was interested in seeing my wife. She then ASKED IF WE WANTED TO RESCHEDULE to which I responded why would we want to do all the waiting all over again. We then left your office very discouraged with how my wife was treated as if it did no matter how long you wait to see a specialist, the impression is your time doesn't matter. However, to us every minute is important and wasting time sitting in a doctor's office with no contact with anyone is a true waste of our time, which to us it very important. I see that you and your staff do not share that. On closing I would have expected someone from your office to reach out to my wife. But I guess that would have taken up too much of your staff's time as they seemed so busy when we left (that is sarcasm) as no one was doing anything except talking with one another. Respectfully, Robert Bessinger, Caretaker of Phyllis Bessinger

I had a 3:15 appointment on 7/13/21. At 5:21 I saw Dr. Goldman, he asked me to bring him up to…read morespeed on why I was there. After I refreshed his memory, he started telling me all the negative things that could happen if he performed surgery. Also, overheard Hannah calling patients telling them to reschedule since Dr. Goldman was going to be in emergency surgery on Thursday (today is Tuesday). Same thing they told me when they called to reschedule my appointment. Those people for emergency surgery, I wouldn't recommend him to my neighbor's cat.

To make matters worse, when I requested a copy of my test results, I was told I would be charged $5. When I questioned why I had to pay for my own results, I was told, "Paper costs money." That response was unacceptable and demonstrated a lack of respect for patients. Good customer service and communication are essential in healthcare, and unfortunately, this office fell short. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

They ordered an MRI for my wife, made her wait 2 months for the results, then rescheduled the follow up (without notifying her) for 3 months later! A 5 month wait for MRI results?! We still have not discussed her results with the doctor yet. So, our copay, and the cost of the MRI, was for nothing. The wait times are LONG. And what's frustrating is that we saw 2 walk ins go ahead of us, one having missed their appointment the day before, and one just walking in off the street. The staff is obstinate, unprofessional, and curt. Every step of the process is difficult (except paying a bill!). Heck, even simply obtaining medical records is a chore, which they nearly refused to do remotely. We had to push and push, and jump through a bunch of hoops, and pay $20 (still haven't received them!, I'll update how long that takes). I would strongly encourage anyone considering this doctor to avoid him and his office at all costs. Go to ATL, or Birmingham. You'll likely spend as much time driving there as you would waiting in his office. Seriously, he and his staff should be ashamed of themselves.
