If you ask for a professional opinion on what size, shape or colour suits you these women know their stuff. They also seem to know every person in town by name and are incredibly cheerful. The clothes themselves are well stocked in sizes (which seems to be rare these days in most clothing stores) and made me wish I could spend more time trying things on. I can honestly say I left with a smile on my face, which means I will be back.

Whilst at a football match at Brighton and Hove Albions poor excuse for a stadium where on a foggy day you can't see the pitch and a rainy one you are totally exposed to the elements, after a full 90 minutes, plus stopage time and walking to and from the ground from where I had parked the car, the body area that my jacket covered was totally dry! I only wished that I had also had some of their trousers, boots, gloves, hat. This is a family owned and run business and well worth supporting. All their garments are made at their factory in the North East not some far away sweatshop. This brand is very popular with tourists especially as members of the Royal Family are often filmed wearing their Barbours' and Helen Mirren wore one in her portrayal of The Queen in the film by the same name. The staff are very knowledgable, friendly and helpful and will do their best to order anything not in stock. Well worth a visit whether a tourist or a local.

This was one of the last places we visited, after grabbing a light bite nearby, and I absolutely loved the selection. The interior had tons of great options on show -- in particular we were tempted by an amazing turquoise top -- but it wasn't just beautiful clothing. (Which suited both of us, so the age range would suit 25-60, in my opinion. Not so much of an "age" as timelessly beautiful.) If you're into unique, quirky handbags -- it's a go. If you want to update your wardrobe -- it's a must. There was a lot of jewellery, accessories, shoes, and more to choose from too. Love this place! Must go back when I'm home next.
