Nkem is really more than a personal trainer but also a fitness coach, checking in to see what his clients are up to to ensure healthy habits outside of his training sessions. I didn't realize how much I needed Nkem until he went on a short (well deserved) vacation and I didn't see him for a week. Even while he was away, he still made time to check in on me to ensure I was staying on track while holding me accountable for the gaps in my progress. When I lack motivation, he keeps me persistent. She senses what each client needs according to there emotional, mental and physical needs. She is like a Life Coach but with a twist of a drill Sargent (LOL) and that is what I needed- someone to push me when I had no energy or mental stamina to get up and train my body. It's not a large facility but the space is well used and organized. There's no excess clutter from machines and treadmills. There's only 2 treadmills and 2 stationary bikes towards the back of the main floor. On the main floor, there's an open space for the trainers to run drills and for trainees to transition from one exercise to the next. Plenty of free weights, dumbbells, kettle bells, battle ropes, pull up bars, etc. My friend is actually a trainer here, and he told me to come by..which I did and I brought another friend of mine who was looking for a personal trainer..so that was a great opportunity. Rates are definitely cheaper than other gyms in the area. For example, I believe Bell Plaza runs personal training at the rate of $1 a minute..which is quite costly in my opinion. ReBound costs like half as much per session. **And what's cool is, they don't have monthly membership fees, so just purchase a training package that's it. No need to pay for both the training and a monthly gym membership!** Clientele varies greatly as well.. Like tonight when I went to check it out, I saw an elderly woman in her 60's.. And the way she was training and doing the drills that the trainer gave her, she might've been in only her 30's..Loll There's the usual people who just want to stay healthy and stay in shape and there's more hardcore athletes looking to improve on a sport or skill. ReBound is fairly new.. Only like 2-3 years.. And it's very well maintained and clean. Equipment is new. Another thing, that I like, may not be a big deal to some, but they have great selection of music! Lmao :D I'm currently recovering from an injury but can't wait to heal up and start training here! She is cognizant of my physical limitations, and works through them to accomplish my goals. The people that work for/train at the gym are friendly and non-judgemental, which is an important factor to me. BTW, I found the gym through two friends, who I didn't realize knew each other. I noticed that a work friend had lost weight over the summer. I asked her how and she told me she was training with Cynthia Conde at The Fitness Loft. I asked her why there? She related to me that she noticed that over a period of time her neighbor, who daily walks her dog past her house, was "shrinking". When she told me her name I realized I knew who she was and I too had seen her "transformation". But I thought she had lost her weight with Weight Watchers.
