Once all the power and heat was turned on, Jay went above and beyond going through all the parts of the house. The thing that really stood out though was that Jay was straightforward and honest in his assessment. I work on a lot of houses, so all the figures he gave for estimates were pretty much in line with what I would expect. Not too high, like he was selling me on a repair I didn't need. But also not underselling the cost of what needed to get done. To me, there's nothing more valuable then getting accurate information. Don't try and overinflate or udnerflate what costs will be. Just say it like it is and let me decide how to proceed. I will absolutely be using 4 Seasons for future Home Inspection work and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a home assessed.

Mike quoted both to repair and to replace, and we got an honest opinion that replacing was better given the age and possibility for more leaks. We also went with them because their quote was competitive and we liked the Certainteed Presidential TL product they offered. Their crew showed up on time on the agreed upon day and quickly removed the old roof and installed the new one. We love the look of the Presidential TL, it adds an elegance to our house that stands out compared to our neighbors, and we've received many compliments. My only suggestion to Cornerstone is to improve their communication. For example, it was forecast to rain most of the week before our install. Rather than me calling to ask if our install was still on schedule, it would have been nice to get a proactive call from them assuring us of that fact. Also, the install crew was very nice and professional, but on the 2nd day after they were done they just disappeared without a word. I would have appreciated a knock on the door to say they're done and that another guy would stop by next week to do the final cleanup and touch-ups (instead I called to ask if they were truly done and why there were still nails and debris in our yard). Personally I think over-communication to the customer would be preferred with a project of this size.

Wes not only went up onto the roof, he took photos of everything and gave us an honest appraisal of the work done by the previous roofing company. giving suggestions on how to improve that job along with the new repairs he would do. On the scheduled day of the repair, Wes showed up with two trucks and entire crew. The work was done within a couple of hours and once again, Wes had photos of what he'd done. The proof of the quality of his company's work is that we didn't get a single roof leak during all the heavy rains from the atmospheric rivers that have been flowing over our heads. Not to worry: he guarantees the work over a specified time period. In addition to the roof repair, his guys cleaned the moss off the shingles, cleaned out the rain gutters AND picked up all the roofing nails off the ground. With the previous company, we were finding nails in the front and back yards for months. So yeah, we found our honest, extremely thorough roofing company. The good news for us is that we'll be scheduling another appointment. Our detached garage has moss all over the roof and we're sure the gutters and drains need clearing out too. Which is another cool thing about Wes's company: some roofers will only come out to put on a new roof and nothing else. Wes will gladly come out even when the job's maintenance only like getting rid of the moss or cleaning out rain gutters and drainpipes. Every homeowner needs to find a good roofer. We found ours.
