This place was wonderful for the better part of my daughter's treatment. Dr. Smith is very friendly as are the technicians. Where the business goes South (1 star) is with the office "manager" Kim. She is VERY rude and threatens to hang up on you just for asking her why she failed to notify you for three or four months that your insurance wasn't going to pay anymore on daughter's care, months after your personal payments ended and now she suddenly wants to say that the account is months past due and has to be paid and refuses treatment to your child. How is a bill overdue if there was no balance for months (that you were aware of)!!! She also refused to let me talk to Dr. Smith because he "doesn't deal with billing," even though I said the complaint was about the way she was treating me. What type of place refuses to talk to you when you have a complaint about THEIR employee and how you are being treated. Definitely not the type of business I want to give money to. Sad thing is, we loved this place before and had even started care for myself and was also seeing them for general dentistry for cleanings. No more! Run far away from this place, as fast as you can!!!!!!
Updated Review 6 March 24:
Since you want the full story told, but include false and inaccurate information. Here is an update with more valid information:
I never abused any employee. The employee that said she was going to hang up on me was your billing manager, not a receptionist. And she did not threaten to hang up on me until I told her that she didn't know how to do her job! I never once called her names or even used fowl or offensive language or curse words. What you stated is clearly libel! The receptionist I spoke to, and have spoken to multiple times about this situation, was very nice. She was NOT the problem. She is ALWAYS very nice and professional. THE ISSUE HERE IS THE BILLING MANAGER.
Additionally, you state that I was "delinquent" on my payments. Again, another false accusation. Flat out lie. LIBEL!!! Per your own statement, I made payment arrangements on 12/27/23 after insurance notifed you all on 10/28/23 about reducing their portion (mind you that is two months, maybe you need to learn math, from their notification to you until I was notified). My last payment that was agreed upon at the begining of treatment was on 09/26/23. No payments were made after that until you all notifed me of the insurances reducing their portion, which I completely understand is not your fault. I made arrangements with you on 12/27/23 to start to pay off that additonal amount (agreed to $80 per month). I then made the following payments: 1/11/24 - $160; 1/25/24 - $96; 02/22/24 - $80 and 3/5/24 - $50 (not due until yet, paid extra payment here). Please tell me how that is "delinquent" when Jan, Feb and March all have payments!!!!!
Quit gaslighting and diverting away from the real issue. The real issue is with YOUR billing manager, "Kim", trying to state that our account was past due for payments in Oct, November and December, when per your own admital, we did not know that insurance had reduced the amount they were going to pay. How can we be LATE for payments that did not exist!!!!! When I tried to explain this to her, she got mad and defensive, which is why I asked to speak to someone else who could possibly understand and she told me there was no one else to talk to because the owner was not going to talk to me about this. Funny how you have time to respond to these reviews, but you don't have the audacity to pick up the phone and call me to discuss these matters. Great business practices!!!
As I stated, I loved Next until this experience. I am very sad that the billing manager had to spoil such a high regard for your practice. As I stated before, Dr. Smith and the staff (other than the billing manager, Kim) are all very nice. When you come into the practice, they always make you feel at home, and you all are always quick to get patients back and seen and on their way. The issue here is with the billing manager and NOW how you are handling this. I really hope that we can work this out and I can get back to my high regards for this practice. Thank you. read more
