Regardless, the food was ample for the 5-course choice and I was more than pleased with the experience. While the space is quite small and the staff are always having to move in and around one another to include guests, it works and provides quite an intimate space. The menu is quite straight forward as are the wine pairings, making a choice quite simple so one can get to the meal quickly. The food and service were both great and I have no complaints. From the bread and butter service to the courses themselves, each was of high quality, great looking, and even better tasting. If you are not planning out weeks in advance, getting a reservation here might be a challenge. The wines were mostly German and again, high quality as the wine regions all offer great combinations with the food. All occasions can be served by a visit to Bidlabu and I'm glad I could fit in a reservation.

You can make a reservation ahead of time online, but we found it didn't do anything special for us as we were told to just pick anywhere to sit and eat as it wasn't very crowded when we arrived. There is SOME indoor dining, but sitting outside is much more pleasant, especially in the summer. They have VEGAN SCHNITZEL on the menu, which was very exciting for me as I am of German heritage but am now vegetarian, so I haven't eaten schnitzel since I stopped eating meat. It was delicious and very satisfying! Also, you CAN go up in the tower. The restrooms are actually up at the top of the tower, which I found very interesting as I wouldn't think it would be ideal to install plumbing at the top of a 15th castle tower.
