Decided I wanted to do a little peace of mind check up on my little 6-month-old belly and I was delighted to know that this place existed! Not only is it in Elk Grove but it's so close to my home! Staff is so sweet here and welcoming and our tech was very informative and made us feel very comfy. We were able to get some amazing shots of baby and I couldnt have been more happy. We ended up coming back and this time it was with Lily and she was also so great! We got to see baby boy, and she identified everything we were looking at which made things even more fun! I can't even begin to express the amazing kind of care that I received today from Lilly. She was so unbelievably understanding, gentle, kind, and knowledgeable. I can't thank them enough for being able to squeeze me in. I had a miscarriage back in May, I'm now 15 weeks pregnant and at times my anxiety gets bad worrying about baby and the time in between appointments feels like a life time. It was easy to text to ask about same-day availability and to book an appointment online. I booked the "Peace of Mind" package and it was exactly what I needed after not seeing the baby for four weeks. It's also one of the more affordable offerings around the Sacramento area if you just want to see and hear the baby's heartbeat. There was a decent sized screen to view from the side and a nice big screen for others in attendance. The tech explained some of the baby's movements as she moved around to try to get better angles for us. She also gave us opportunities to ask any questions. After waiting years for my daughter's pregnancy I booked a 3D ultrasound and had family arrive on the long awaited day to see our precious baby in the womb. One HOUR before the appointment I got a call that the ultrasound machine was down. They offered no solution and left us all feeling so upset and dissatisfied. This shouldn't happen at such a business. There should always be a tech on standby or another machine. Neither happened and we were all left with nothing. I would NOT recommend going here for your prenatal images. If a machine goes down you and your family will spend the day like we did. Upset, sad, and so frustrated. read more

I had no idea there was a prenatal imaging office here in Elk Grove until I saw an Instagram repost from BeLocal Elk Grove. I kept it in mind and immediately booked an appt shortly after we found out we were expecting our 2nd child. The office is super small, it appeared to be just the main reception area plus one room so it's really just you and whoever you bring during your whole appt (with some possible crossover with people leaving or coming before/after your appt). During our visit it was just the one person working who helped us both at the front desk and conducted our appointment. That really made the whole experience very personal and we thought it was way better service than the place we went to for our last pregnancy. When I checked in for my appointment she immediately gave me a little bouquet of flowers, because it was Mother's Day. Such a sweet little gesture!! We came here specifically to find out the gender. The room is nice and cozy. There are bean bags and couches for your guests, even toys for any little ones that are joining. I do wish the room wasn't so dark so that our videos would've been more visible but otherwise it was a nice and calming experience. She took so many images and even got some 3D images despite only being at 13 weeks. She explained everything that was happening and what the baby was doing so that we could also understand what we were looking at. She built the suspense and after 5-10 minutes we got to find out the gender! She typed up "I'm a girl" on the screen and it was a fun little way to reveal it. I always wonder how they can tell at such an early stage but she explained what we were looking at in great detail and I felt very confident in her assessment. When I originally booked the appointment, our particular service for gender determination including photos was $69. I noticed when I got my reminder email closer to the appt that they increased prices to $75. I was a bit disappointed at first thinking that they should only increase for customers that booked after the price change. But when we finished up our appt it ended up being the original $69 without me even asking so I was really appreciative of that! I know it's only a $6 difference but it was just the principle of it. I loved all the little touches of this business. They have a cute photo wall where you can take a photo with a boy or girl sign, and they can change the color of the neon light at the top based on the gender. They provided us with 10 printed photos, and they also email you an entire gallery of all the photos to your email address right after the appointment. I was super happy with our experience here. Even though we likely won't have any reason to come back here for ourselves, I will definitely be recommending it to other family and friends and hope I can come back as a guest! read more

Next Generation was an amazing experience! My wife and I are both 1st time parents and by word of mouth we learned about Next Generation Prenatal Imaging. We went through our typical baby experience with going to regular doctor and imaging appointments and it was great to see our baby on the ultrasound but the imaging provided by the doctor just isn't designed for the common non-trained eye to really see your baby. Next Generation is a completely different experience that really showed us what our baby boy was going to look like. Their Elk Grove location feature a very cozy waiting room that comes with a full on photo opportunity as well as treats and TV. The ultra-sound room was amazing with a huge display, a comfy couch an bean bags and a super comfy bed space for the expecting mom. The ultrasound tech was amazing. She was very descriptive of what we were looking at. She took so many photos of babies face and body. she showed us him drinking, how his eyes were wide open and she even told us that he was going to have a lot of hair (which he did!). We also got to share this moment with my mom which made the experience even better. Being able to have family in the room was emotional (in a great way) and such a different environment from the doctors office. I would definitely recommend this experience for soon-to-be parents. Went back at 28 weeks for the 3D/4D/5D scan. Oh my gosh! The staff is always sweet of course and the atmosphere is calming. I got to hear my baby boys heartbeat multiple times, got told about his position and where his feet were kicking etc.... I also got shown he has some hair on the back of his head! I also got so many printed pictures, a video of the whole scan and the photos sent to me in a gallery as well. Truly a one of a kind experience and would recommended a million times! read more

It was an okay experience. This was a quick session, on the website it said 25 minutes, but according the video it was almost 20 minutes. I had to lay on my side, so I was watching it on a tiny screen. They should have a big screen for the mothers and not just for the family. My family had a better experience than I did. You don't get to choose the photos to be printed out, they choose for you. So you may not get the photos that you'd like. The only thing worth it, was the video, which is an extra $10. I had four photos printed in color and 91 photos was sent via email. I would say about 10 of those 91 were decent. Majority of them were hard to see and/or of the same position. Overall, not a great viewing for the mama, the pictures are not great, and it all felt rushed. Also, the website said if you have an anterior placenta to come in at 29 weeks. That's what I did, but I think that was too early. They should have offered me to come back at 32 weeks since the baby was being shy. read more

3rd pregnancy and this is my first time doing this type of imaging. I honestly have never been interested but my now 7 and 5 year old really wanted to see the baby. They saw the dr office ultrasound pictures and really wanted to see their brother being the dr office doesn't allow kids my friend recommended next gen. I easily booked my appt online in the mean time i found out on my daughters bday school was going to let out early so i contacted next gen to see if they change my appt and yay they were able to. Once we arrived it was great Lilly was welcoming and patient with my littles and myself. I forgot to fill out the waiver and she politely reminded me. As soon as i finished she had the room ready and went straight for it. She explained positioning and engaged with my kids as they watched/played. Our first experience at Next Gen Prenatal Imaging was nothing short of comforting and amazing. My husband and I came in at 12 weeks and 2 days. The space itself was very inviting and cute! I'm a first time mom, and had been on the fence about whether or not to do a 3D/4D ultrasound in general. I didn't really know what to expect, and the pictures all look like the bust from the Lionel Richie "Hello" video. I digress... I ended up being gifted a session at Next Generation and booked the "Hanging with Baby" session [$99]. I was really thankful I was able to book on a Sunday, because we were able to bring my stepson to the appointment to see the baby! While the building itself looked nondescript, the office was SUPER CUTE! #1, I can't resist a photo wall. It made the business feel really personal and welcoming. They had a snack basket [great for pregnant women and 10 year olds LOL], and coffee, water, etc. The tech took us back to the ultrasound room, which was really spacious, but also cozy. Bean bag chairs in front of a big screen TV where my partner and his son were able to watch the show, a couch for additional guests, and then the table for me. She immediately added the [warm?! YES PLEASE] lubricant and began explaining the process, what she was seeing, the differences between the different dimensions in the photos. Baby was keeping his face pretty close to my placenta, so she had me move positions to see if that helped us get a better view. Once we finished up our session, she brought us back out to the lobby where she started printing out our pictures. She told me that the full gallery and video would be sent to me within 24 hours or so. I had the vimeo link AND full gallery before I made it back home to the Bay Area! This is was our first time at Next Generation Prenatal Imaging to get 3D ultrasounds done. The office and room we were in was set up for comfort to allow multiple friends/family to come experience the 3D ultrasound. Our ultrasound tech was Lilly and she was lovely. She made the experience comfortable and inviting. She explained everything she did and what we were looking at, which I appreciate a lot. We didn't know what questions to ask but she shared some of her most asked questions. Which was great. She shared where my placenta was, where baby was presenting, heart rate, and so much more. Always wanted to do 3D ultrasound images and I got talked out of it with my first baby. But after I found this place (and that I wouldn't have to drive out to Arden to get it done), I was determined to come check it out for my second baby. The "Hanging with Baby" is more expensive than at the other prenatal imaging place I was looking at (like ~$30 more I think) but you get more images and they email the images to you right after the appointment too. Location is small. They have the photo background area in the waiting room, another small room with stuffed animals, and the main room where they do the ultrasound imaging. It's narrow and smaller than I thought it would be; cozy would be a good description but it was comfortable with various seating options. I came with 4 adults and a child and there was plenty of room, but 8 adults might be a little tight. The ultrasound tech is also the receptionist, which is kinda nice but if you can't get ahold of someone that's probably why. Victoria was my tech both times. Very friendly and communicative about what she's seeing during the ultrasound. she did her best to get images of my baby. I had to switch positions, get up and walk a bit, ate some candy. Unfortunately, they did not have ice at the time and he was not cooperative. Luckily, my package included free retakes. I came back after the weekend/a few days later and drank a Frappuccino beforehand to try and get baby moving. It helped, but I have an anterior placenta and baby was breach so his face was buried in the placenta (when he wasn't blocking it with his hands). She said it would've been better if he wasn't breach, but it is what it is. Ultimately, we got some decent pics within like 15 min of my retake. I got 5 "color" 3D prints at the retake and a bunch of black and whites during both appointments. She also took pics for us in front of the backdrop and they turned out well (good composition, which I was pleasantly surprised by). No real complaints with my experience. I was disappointed that their ice machine wasn't working and it didn't seem like they planned to get it fixed any time soon, but otherwise I was satisfied. read more
