They also repaired my boiler's vent tube and installed a cap, so the vent whistle works and things are now up to code. Everything looks great and works perfectly. Jason and his crew were very polite and professional, and they explained everything that they were doing throughout the process. They were punctual and completed work in a timely manner. They also kept everything neat and clean. Best of all, the finished cost was exactly what I had been quoted in the estimate. And the price was very reasonable. Horizon Plumbing & Heating came in at a much lower cost than other estimates I received. They did an exceptional job. I highly recommend Horizon Plumbing & Heating and Jason Foster.

Not only did he give us a tow, but he drove us to the airport to get a rental car back to Boston, and he gave us great advice on dealing with insurance (car ended up being totaled - would probably have had to come all the way back to VT to clean it out if not for Rod). Thank you so much Rod - you made a bad situation much more manageable.

He gave me his rates upfront, as well as his availability, and discussed the scope of the job. He was open to my input, and assured me that he would be able to install the A/C to everyone's satisfaction. He called me on his way to the apartment with an arrival time. Alex installed the A/C, and it looks great, as it required much plexiglass to fill the window. I highly recommend Alex, and would certainly call him for any future jobs.

They rebuilt our chimney after a chimney fire and our insurance company appreciated their use of technology as they set photos, a detailed estimate, and were communicative about additional work they discover that needed to be done. They were polite and professional, explaining every step of the work as it was being done. The tree removal was performed quickly and safely. The trees were mulched afterward; and I was asked whether I wanted to keep the mulch, which I did. Catamount even cleaned up the fallen leaves after the trees were removed. I was very pleased with their work. I highly recommend Catamount Tree Service. I'm sure I will be calling them again.

We have a large construction project starting soon on our property, and the contractor was worried…read moreabout negotiating cement trucks and materials down our mile-long dirt driveway, which winds through thick woods. A couple of years ago, we hired Catamount Tree Service to remove a few large, compromised trees in our yard that were threatening one of our cabins, and we were so happy with Justin's abilities and expertise on that job that we called him to give us an estimate on removing trees on either either side of the driveway to "clean it up" and widen the road for the trucks. He and his helper Sam spent a week on the driveway taking down trees, clearing brush, and delivering wood chips to our yard for my husband to use as mulch around his apple trees and in the garden. They worked their butts off for five days and finished the job by the end of the week, as promised. Yesterday our contractor came over to meet with us and the solar guy about the project, and both of them were blown away by what Justin and Sam had accomplished. The contractor isn't worried at all now about the transport of construction materials down the driveway. Not only are Justin and his crew nice young men who are sincere, hard-working, and professional, they're also fun to hang out with. My husband brews beer, so after the job wrapped on Friday we had them in for a brew sampling, and we had a great visit. We can't say enough about how pleased we are with Justin and Catamount Tree Service!

I found out the hard way that this company is dishonest and mismanaged…read more I bought a home in the area and Yankee Home Solutions was contracted by the seller to reveal the septic tank and remove some leftover items from the home prior to closing, but leave the items the seller had clearly marked as "to remain for the buyer." The septic work appears to be in good standing except that the cable line was cut and then reburried below grade without a word of warning. My biggest problem is that they removed a surf board and a custom framed photograph that hung above the mantle of the fire place from the residence without permission. When they were contacted about the missing property they dragged their feet in replying. I finally had to personally confront the owner, AJ Shinner. He said: "Oh, an employee probably took them by accident and we've had some lawn sales since then and, well, I can t find it..."
