It's a nice place. My children enjoy going. Also it's ran by a Pastor and his wife very respected.

Our family feels so incredibly lucky to have found Merry Meadow for our son in October 2023! From…read morethe moment we first visited, it was clear that Ms Angie's space and presence is warm and inviting! You can immediately sense how deeply she cares for her learning pod! After touring some nice but large centers it feels so much better to be able to send my son to a true home away from home! Angie's caring, kind, and patient demeanor has made a profound impact on our son. It's wonderful to see how much he enjoys learning and playing in such a nurturing environment! I also love that they get outside as much as they can during the day! We couldn't be more grateful for the loving care and attention Ms. Angie shares!

Update: Angie is an absolute liar. The story of my 5 year old biting is completely untrue and…read morecompletely fabricated it blows my mind. First, I did not badmouth two previous daycare. We had an issue with a previous one that my second one wasn't thriving (the youngest they took was 3 and he started at 2 and was not doing well but NO issues with biting ever. Wtf?!), which is why I pulled him out. However, my oldest thrived there, graduated and finished out there without a single issue. He did so well that they wanted him to continue kindergarten there. Also, i was not seeking immediate enrollment. She was the first school I visited and had 3 more schools lined up the following week. Angie gave a special discount to celebrate her birthday and that she would waive the application fee. I made an impulsive move to enroll immediately and lesson learned, I should have waited and interviewed the other schools. I've never met anyone ever who've lied so much! Disclaimer: As the third family in 6 months who've gone through her bizarre behavior, here are our takeaways. She has threatened families in the past with legal actions to anyone who left with a negative experience. My second son, Miles, has been going there for about ten months. Everything was going great, at least; we thought so. Besides knowing that she was having issues with two other sets of parents over the last 6 months, I didn't think much of it. I thought it was just two isolated incidents. But now, counting our family, it accounts for 50% of her classroom! The whole week has been incredibly normal. She was nice and jovial with each pickup. She even liked my Mother's Day post on Instagram on Sunday. By Wednesday at 4 pm, Matt went to pick up Miles. The interaction was normal like usual, except she handed him an envelope. Not thinking much about it since Miles's last day is next Friday, 05/26; we thought it was a receipt. Matt took it, buckled Miles, and left. He saw this letter when he got to a stop light to open the envelope. It was a letter of termination without any explanation or clarification. My husband called me frantically. I was shocked because I had no idea what we had done. I tried messaging and calling her; but she wouldn't return any of our calls. I checked our app, and we were kicked out promptly at 4 pm. Since we were friends on Instagram, I went there only to find she blocked me. Initially, I was worried. I thought she was getting shut down or something had happened to her. I messaged the other parents to see if they got the same note. But none of them did. That night, my husband and I were trying hard to figure out what we'd done wrong to receive this magnitude of a response. There was no clarification in her letter of why we were getting terminated either. All of our interactions have been positive and brief. No written or verbal warnings either. The next morning, my friend sent me this video from her Instagram. This is what blew my mind. She posted this video on her social media blasting me and the other parents with these unfounded claims and untruths!! Here's the kicker - She posted this at 1:30 pm BEFORE we were even notified that we were getting terminated at 4 pm when she blocked all communication. We didn't even know why we were getting terminated, and I was trying to get answers so I could even apologize! Livid, I left her a scathing voicemail to ask her to take that video down! It was then she acknowledged us and emailed us saying that we were dosing and dropping Miles, which is a complete lie! Miles had a mild cough, but we NEVER medicated him as he did not exhibit any symptoms of sickness or infections. She never even communicated with us at all, saying that his cough was problematic. We've also never received any verbal or written warnings for any violations. She said she can terminate based on suspicion, which is fine. It's her business; she can do whatever she wants. But to post a pre-meditated video based on false narratives, gossiping about parents before even notifying us we were getting terminated AND blocking us off social media just takes the cake. It makes me sick that I placed my child in this woman's care who could turn on you just like that. This whole ordeal has been so strange and weird. And now I feel terrible because Miles has told me several times that she was mean to him. I didn't think too much of it since he's 4 and figured he was blowing it out of proportion if she had a firm voice or something. Moral of the story: Please find a licensed daycare. She's unlicensed, which should have been a red flag. This has been verified by the licensing department. She markets herself as license-exempt, but they check their database and she's not listed. The office said license-exempt is only reserved for churches, etc, not an in-home daycare. If you do go through an unlicensed daycare, make sure to find a spot where there are at least two people working or someone who doesn't lie.

I got on the list in May looking for a January spot and there wasn't an opening until April. I took it and luckily someone dropped out and I was able to get their spot for January. They also make you pay $100/month to stay on the waitlist but it goes towards your tuition when you start. The building is secure they buzz you in and out. The staff is incredibly friendly my daughter interacts positively towards each of her teachers. They have made me feel at home and at ease leaving my baby in their care. They also have an app that keeps you updated throughout the day and they will send you a selfie! I'm not going to lie and say this is an affordable daycare it's definitely not. However I feel the price is worth it for the education and piece of mind!

First the good, there isn't a cheaper daycare in the area and there typically isn't a wait list which is rare in this area. If you call at different times they'll quote you multiple prices so there's that.... Now the bad, we paid a year ahead. $12k for 52 weeks. It was fine until Covid in 2020, they closed the place for 7 weeks which was understandable, but when we told them we were going to a different daycare when we used all our prepaid weeks, the owner said she would not give us the 7 weeks of childcare to cover the 7 weeks they were closed. So effectively, we only received 45 weeks. She said they would honor the 7 weeks if we came back and signed up for another year. While the service they provide is fine (not great, not horrible), just know you're not dealing with people of the highest character (to say the least)...

We had concerns with the lack of educational experience of the owner, but decided to take a gamble since we loved the FORMER Educational Director. We also thought the school, with the way they describe themselves would have essential tools, resources etc since the owner clearly did not. Boy, were we wrong. Not long after starting the school, the Educational Director resigned due to not being able to get along with the owner who is a complete control freak (we heard this from multiple sources, including teachers). Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. The school at this location is like a revolving door with teachers and assistants. There is no consistency or stability. Once your child is assigned to a room, there could be multiple teachers pass by in a given year. I know this happens in day cares but for the money we were paying a month, which was over $1,400, I would not expect that much. A few observations that I would share that are very similar to the above poster are: * The owner is clueless on how to run a daycare facility. I believe she was in sales prior to opening this up. * The Education Director (and yes, I too cringe given this girl that much credit of a title), is very rude and unprofessional on sooooo many levels. It is amazing she is allowed to interact with any of the families, let alone be the face of the Goddard School....And yes, my husband and I were appalled to hear about the Christmas gift list, as well as her favorite store to shop for her Christmas present was Victoria Secrets...Really??? You work at a daycare for Gods sakes, get a clue!!! We both are not surprised at all by this. Also, she only holds and AS in early childhood education. PS - Look at other educational directors in other schools/day cares/preschools to see their degrees...night and day. * Daycare violation report - Child Left Alone - see fox2now files or http://fox2now.com/2013/08/06/map-daycare-violations-in-st-louis/ * The rooms are very overcrowded and chaotic - But per the owner, it meets state minimums....Really, you're charging me more than my mortgage payment and you are "following state minimums". I would expect this from a KinderCare, not somewhere I am shelling out that much money for. Lastly, by no means is this a vendetta against Goddard, I have friends that have kids in other Goddard locations and they cannot believe the way this place is run. After doing more homework and intensive interviews with families across the area we decided to pull our child out from Goddard-Rock Hill. I need to tell you that the attitude and eagerness to go to her new school is unbelievable. I hope this sheds a little of our two cents and save you the aggravations we went through
