Most of the teachers are great there and the families are too. They will get mad I am posting, but…read moreidc as you got to stand up for what you believe in. I will miss all the parents most and the children were a blessing to have. You gotta stand up as freedom of speech to express your concerns! I would look into other childcare for infants! When a lead teacher isn't following the rules and doing things she shouldn't be doing, then she should be let go. Feeding infants whatever they want due to not having any baby food of their own is unacceptable or feeding a child a homemade drink smoothie is unacceptable! Feeding a child in a bouncer seat instead of holding them while the infant was gagging to take a breath is unacceptable. If there is more then one child that needs to be fed the lead teacher should have called as ask for help. It is sooooo sad when you report a person of doing these things and they don't get fired, but instead you get let go for no reason as the director was very unfair! She only wants to be a director at a daycare place I hear from the other teachers due to being with her children and one on the way, so she doesn't have to pay a lot in daycare herself. She favors a lot of her other employees and doesn't care about the ones that does a great job or follows bye state rules. There are teachers in there that don't talk appropriately to the children and they don't get in trouble. It is sad that this childcare is not updated with good toys for children to use or play with for age appropriate stuff. The outside needs to be better fixed up like most places are today. There is teachers that constantly let children go bare feet in classrooms and they don't encourage the child to put on his shoes while he could hurt his foot without wearing shoes. I seen a teacher grab a child arm as set them down that way. They let men to do there web sites and let a man in there that is dating one of the lead teachers, which is inappropriate for the children. They have a Assistant Director's husband be a maintenance guy to work there as well, which is weird! They all sit in office playing around as talking most of the time or being on there phones as Facebook, which is dumb for a business! The children eat off the floor as seen it with my eyes as some teachers are to lazy to clean the food up off the floor. Lastly, it is sad that a lead teacher can raise her tone of voice at you in front of all the children too and make the children feel uncomfortable, but again she doesn't get in trouble. I pray that this childcare gets better run right and pray for those children that needs to be better monitored bye people that really knows how to do a great job especially for the infants sake! Working in a childcare facility for 6+ years myself and taking college courses on it I know the rules of the state. Working as a parent I know how to be a great person with taking lots of classes too. Director tells me yeah just being older then some of us doesn't make you better knowledgeable.....ummmm, ok (laughing, yeah, I know day cares as state rules which I follow unlike you or some of the teachers). Being in a medical field I know how to take care of anyone and what I seen at this place I would never let some young person that doesn't know how to take care of infants be a lead teacher. Just because you come all the way here from another state doesn't mean it is ok to work as a lead teacher as your degree you have is not always acceptable to fill that roll. If you were just a teacher assistant in the elementary education at a school where you live as not fully finish your degree doesn't make it ok to fill a spot as a lead teacher that hasn't worked with any infants before. If a person has associates degree as worked in many facilities as took college courses on early education it does qualify a person to get paid more or fill a role to be a lead teacher in a daycare. Read or talk to state officials as sad a director doesn't know her state stuff. It is sad that a director tells you that you did right bye coming to us, then they let you go for no reason!!!! She should be let go of her job as doing what she did. Poor management and feel sorry for the owner as director always talks bad about her. The director also always way to many people to stay as get overtime on the owner, so she has to pay them more. She had way to many people one day in the one year old room due to biting and the children haven't bitten anyone in a long time, but made teachers stay within not being in ratio. Place is a joke and shouldn't get fired for making right choices or caring for children in a respectful right way with the laws! Director is a fake joke as she talks about some of those parents behind there back. The owner needs to be at the daycare facility as spend a whole day to watch these girls and director. Very sad as well I just hit my 90 day mark and they don't wanna pay me for any of my benefits either.

I am the lead teacher for the clubhouse, and I provide a fun, engaging, educational environment for my school agers to learn and grow. I enjoy having a child-centered classroom, where the children are able to choose the activities they want to engage in. I provide the students with activities including air dry clay, perler beads, rubber bands, and playing the Wii on days off. After school the students work on homework and reading. If I am not available to help them, Alex does an awesome job working with the students to help them finish their homework. During days off, I work on planning engaging short lessons that focus on Kindness. The month of November we are taking part of the You Matter Marathon. We provide a educational spring break and summer camp and travel around to different areas of St. Louis for field trips. I enjoy working with all my coworkers and I feel like we have a great school family.

Top notch education!…read more My daughter started at Children's Learning Adventure two weeks ago. Not only is this school aesthetically amazing, the programming and staff are outstanding! It is so comforting as a parent to find a school that you can completely entrust with your child's safety, education, and well-being. We are greeted every day when we arrive, and at the end of the day my daughter's teacher is there to let me know everything about her day. As a working parent, one of my biggest complaints about her previous school was that every time I dropped off or picked up my daughter her teacher had already left for the day, and the management was out of the building. This is NOT the case here at Children's Learning Adventure. It is so refreshing to have a conversation with my child's teacher, who has been with her all day, at the end of the day. The director, Kelly, is so friendly and genuine. I really feel like she cares, and that is so refreshing to find these days. My daughter loves coming to her new school! She gets to participate in art class, gym class, and even makes a trip to the library to see the giant fish tank each week. Once she is older (she is only 2) she will get to go to cooking class and science class. This is all in addition to their fantastic curriculum. I highly recommend anyone looking for exceptional care for their children to check this place out. Driving by does not do justice; you have to see it to believe it! As a parent, you cannot put a price on your child's education and safety. If you want the best, Children's Learning Adventure is it.

Both of my children have been given good structure and education, and the school provides great feedback on things we can work on so that our children are getting consistency. This is a review for prospective parents for the infant room only…read more My husband and I toured this facility to see the infant room 4 months before our due date. We met with the academy director, Gina, and she gave us an impressive tour. Their curriculum is impressive and their emphasis on education and cleanliness of the school had us hooked. At the end of the visit, we asked about the possibility of enrolling our child. She said there was a waiting list, yet there was still space available for our daughter. She said it was "highly likely" we would be able to get a space. We asked her specifically how many people were on the list, and she wouldn't give us an answer or check, she just said that if we paid a deposit fee we had a " great chance" of getting a space. A few weeks later, we received an email saying that unfortunately many parents with already enrolled students got priority before us (perfectly understanable) and that we were waitlisted for the infant room for over a year! I immediately called the school as I was shocked that the change was day and night from what the director had told us, and her assistant answered. Turns out there were 38 people in front of is on their waiting list to begin with, and that the possibility of us ever getting a space in the first place was minimal. As a working pregnant woman, this situation really stressed me out. When I asked the school about the possibility of getting her enrolled after waiting a year, the assistant said it wasn't likely and that the wait was now actually over two years! I asked if I could get my deposit refunded because there was such a high discrepancy between what we were told at the time we paid and what we were being told now. She said absolutely not. I asked for Gina, the director to call us, and I am still waiting on that call. Worst customer service ever! Unless you have a child already enrolled, I would place a deposit at another school as a back up.

My son attended Westport from infancy through the 3-year-old class. The setup is concerning:…read morebabies, toddlers, then suddenly 3-year-olds placed with 4-5-year-olds in a larger room. That alone shows how little thought goes into the children's development here. This daycare receives funding, yet when I was one of the top two contributors of a fundraiser, the money went to an employee's personal house fire relief instead of the children. You would think a go fund me account would be started instead of using money from a fundraiser. Where's the integrity? Without cameras, parents have no way of knowing what really happens during diapering or bathroom routines, and children can't always explain it. That lack of transparency is unacceptable. Daycare is supposed to support working parents, not make us question our child's safety. Trust is everything in childcare, and this place failed at the most basic level. On top of that, tuition rates were sketchy. I asked multiple times about a rate adjustment after my son was potty trained with moving to the 3 year old bigger class, and got vague answers until his last day--when suddenly the rate dropped by $40. This center has been in business for years, but that doesn't mean it's safe or trustworthy. Longevity without integrity means nothing. I am grateful my child no longer attends Westport. Parents, be vigilant and push for cameras in every classroom, because without them, we'll never truly know what's going on. ------- ------- Updated Review after Business Response: Thank you for your response. I want to clarify a few points for parents who may be considering this daycare. Classroom setup: While ratios may technically follow state guidelines, my concern was with the developmental mix of children. My son's experience showed that compliance and what is best for children's growth are not always the same thing. Fundraiser funds: The center did communicate that fundraiser proceeds would be directed to teachers affected by a house fire. While I sympathize with their loss, I personally felt that using funds raised under the impression of benefiting the children and center was not the most appropriate approach. A separate GoFundMe or designated collection would have offered parents a clearer choice. Safety and transparency: The response did not address my concern about the lack of cameras. In childcare, parents value reassurance and transparency, especially during moments when children cannot fully express themselves. Tuition adjustments: My questions about tuition changes after potty training went unanswered until my son's final day, when suddenly the rate dropped. Clear communication about costs is a basic expectation for parents budgeting for care. Finally, I want to add that I was asked multiple times to leave a review while my son was enrolled, but I chose not to at that time. Reading the tone of the center's reply to my concerns has only confirmed that decision. Rather than addressing my feedback constructively, the response came across as defensive and dismissive. This type of communication does not build trust with parents, it further erodes it. I understand this center has been in business for decades, but longevity alone does not equal trust. My review reflects my personal experience, and I encourage prospective parents to ask detailed questions and tour thoroughly before making a decision.
