Definitely the worst customer service experience I've had of any company ever.EVER
The salesman said he would be here from 4-6 same day (which was his timing, not mine). I left work early and came home, no salesman. I thought, eh probably just a mistake. I called him, he said he was still on a job and wouldn't be able to get there tonight but first thing tomorrow morning. He then called back a little after 6 saying that he forgot about another quick install in the morning but that he could be there by 10 at the latest. Told him that was no problem. My gf took off work on Thursday (had some stuff to get done around the house and a Plummer coming in the morning to replace the water heater). Flash forward 10 am, no salesman. I call, he apologies again and says 12. At 1230 finally arrives. He was very kind and apologies for the delay. I'm a bit irked that I've now wasted 8 hours of my and my gfs time because of this delay for "next day" floors. I wanted to get them completed ASAP and thought it would be quick or like idk...next day. I asked if we could do Friday, there wasn't a time slot and then asked about Saturday which was also a no. Saturday comes and the salesman calls me frantically saying that he needs the down payment ASAP to confirm my schedule. I thought it was a bit weird that he needed it that urgently especially being a repeat customer with all my info but anywho, I gave him my credit card info and got it locked in for FIRST THING which I was told was 8am Wednesday.
But Wednesday comes and 9am passes and I'm convinced I'm going to come down stairs into my basement and see ashton Kutcher himself because I was getting punked but NO, and no sign of the salesman or installation crew. Checked the neighbors house to see if they were installing in the wrong house because surely they could not be THIS bad at giving a time (0-4) at this point.
I called the main call center because I'm done with the salesman. I asked the lady when the crew was going to be here because, well they weren't here and maybe they were using pacific or Hawaii time for "first thing". The lady then informs me. IM NOT ON THE SCHEDULE TODAY. Well Lordy, aren't I the most unluckiest guy in the pumpkin patch. So the frantic call to "confirm my reservation" on a Saturday never actually got confirmed. The operator told me she would give a calll to my salesman and call me "right back". I'm HEATED and explain how long this process has taken and that we've taken MULTIPLE days off at this point. After 15 mins no call back (I need someone out today), I call back and get an attitude from the operator because in her words, "it's only been 15 mins". Aggravated, I said, apparently I misunderstood the term "right back". I finally get a supervisor who said they could try to get a crew there "possibly" between 4-6 pm.... haha! I've heard this one before...nice try, not getting me this time devil woman. (Just kidding, the supervisor was very kind)
I ask for a refund. She says sure, that she understands. That billing dept will give me a call. Never got a call from a billing dept. Called back, to speak with the operator (sounds like the same lady) the next day who says that the billing dept usually processes in 3-5 days (AGAIN it sounds like I'm wasting her time and she's trying to get me off the phone) A+ service from the VOICE of the company and front line of customer service.
Flash forward a week, still no refund. I called back today, same operator....tells me the salesman is off today so that it'll have to wait til he comes back to process the paper work so the billing dept can process. So the money that I NEEDED to pay urgently on a Saturday now needs to be submitted through a claims dept that seems to be harder than printing US currency to get it back? I told the operator that it wasn't going to work, who else could I talk to. She told me "I guess you could wait and call the Site local office" she again tells me "to have a nice day"
I call the site office when they open. I explain the situation he says he'll call me back within 15 mins once he takes a look at the case. another gentleman from the same office calls me back in 12 mins and issues a refund in, no bs, a 36 second phone call. 9 days after I asked but it took 36 seconds. S/O they were the only competent part of my story
So why couldn't the princess of pleasantness operator from the mainline just do that the first 4 times I asKed? Or at least point me in the right direction Is the billing office just Narnia!? No chance it exists I guess there wasn't "all the paper" needing to be submitted from the salesman being off?
The operator needs a new position, maybe put her in the billing office but she was ABSOLUTELY clueless.
TRAINWRECK. I'm sure there was some unluckiness in my situation but golly gee wilicekrs I have a better chance of winning the mega millions while getting struck by lightening and meeting the real Easter bunny to have this kind of customer service breakdown. read more
