Yesterday, I had an orientation flight at NexGen Flight Academy in Riverside. From the initial "awesome" greeting from the young lady at the counter to the final goodbye, the experience was professional, informative and fun. I flew with Vicky in a Cessna 172. Vicky did a quick but informative ground orientation, walked me through an inspection of the plane and the explained the instruments and pedal use. I was able to taxi to the runway and take off. We flew over Lake Mathews and flew around the area. This was truly a hands on experience. I was allowed to actually fly the plane. Prior to landing, I flew over my home in Corona. If your interested in aviation or learning to fly, I highly recommend taking the orientation flight. Coupons are available on Groupon! I just had a Discovery Flight and wow! This place is amazing. The airplanes are state of the art, the people are wonderful, and my pilot was fantastic! He explained it all, and was a super professional and talented instructor! It just doesn't get any better than this! read more

The flight instructors are great. The planes are nice. The ownership and management...leaves much to be desired. Could not rate the money grabbing lower if I tried. Go to any other place to get a fairer price and management that actually cares or knows who you are. $290/hr for instruction is a joke unless it's in a cirrus. read more

Was booked way in advance for a school and flight and was texted at 11pm the night before that the flight was cancelled. I was not offered any compensation even after I had to use the last of my vacation days to take off for the day it was scheduled. I had been trying to get my pilots license for over a year flying out of Frankfort, KY but it just was not working out. My flights were always canceled do to weather, maintenance, or instructor scheduling conflicts. After struggling to make it work for over a year I decided to switch to Nextgen aviation. My flight instructor was Matt Doggett and he was wonderful! Very insightful and patient with me. There was almost always a plane available and the scheduling system is top notch. The people are incredibly friendly and easy to talk with. I now have my pilot pilots license and could not be happier after I switched to Nextgen aviation! read more
