The pain is mild and totally tolerable, and they'll dial it down if needed. But if you want the best results, it's worth pushing through a bit.

I have labeled her the "dominatrix of laser" because she's that good at what she does -- which means I faithfully show up for my monthly laser "treatment/torture".... That's how I ended up visiting the Glendale location, and it definitely did not disappoint. The facility is much larger than the Sherman Oaks location....easily ten times bigger... and it's extremely clean, modern, and well organized! Another big plus is the large parking lot and the super convenient location right off the 134 freeway... which makes getting there very easy. The clinic also has a refrigerator stocked with bottled water and beverages for patients, which is such a nice touch while waiting for your appointment. I also want to give a shout-out to the amazing laser staff -- Anissa, Lisa, Mel, and Ramak!! Everyone there is friendly and welcoming , always greeting me with cheerful hellos and saying goodbye with dance movies. Lights throughout the establishment were flickering, and even the bathroom lights were not functioning properly. For a med spa offering medical-grade treatments, the environment did not feel professional or reassuring. I came in for PRP microneedling and was informed that the provider performing my treatment had only been working in a med spa setting for about four months. During my appointment, my blood could not be successfully drawn and I was poked three separate times. Afterwards, the provider forgot to even give me a Band-Aid and stated it was because she was nervous. While I understand that mistakes can happen, this did not leave me feeling confident or comfortable continuing treatment here. They did offer to substitute the PRP portion of my treatment with hyaluronic acid instead, but considering PRP microneedling is a significantly more expensive and specialized treatment, I did not feel that would have been fair for the amount of money I paid for the service. I purchased my session through Groupon because I had seen mixed reviews and wanted to cautiously try the service first before committing to additional visits. After today's experience, I asked about the refund process since the Groupon had not yet been redeemed. The receptionist with red hair initially stated they could not refund it because it wasn't redeemed, but when I asked if it could be redeemed so I could request my refund, she contradicted herself and said there are no refunds through third-party groups. I would have completely understood policy limitations if the conversation had been handled professionally and respectfully. What stood out most was the attitude of the front desk staff from the moment I walked in particularly the red head receptionist. As someone who works in customer service and as a receptionist myself, I understand how important first impressions are. I did not feel welcomed, acknowledged, or treated with kindness during my visit. I drove all the way from Long Beach to Glendale for this appointment hoping I would be in good hands, and sadly that was not the case. I strongly encourage Skin Agency to provide additional training for both their front desk staff and employees performing medical-grade facial treatments to ensure future clients have a safer and more professional experience.

For one of the treatments, I went in with one thing in mind (fillers in cheeks, temple and jaw/chin) and after talking with Elena and considering my age and the issues I wanted to focus on, I ended up doing Sculptra instead. The effects haven't even fully developed yet (with Sculptra it takes around 3-4 months before you start seeing improvements) but I can absolutely see a difference after 2.5 months and what I've seen so far is exciting and exactly what I was hoping for. Not a scary, different face, just more symmetrical (the main goal for me) and a more refreshed look, and my skin is softer than it has ever been including when I was a baby lol. It's wild!
