Weekdays it is open from 9 AM to 9 PM, but closed on Sundays. Huge lot for parking. The library itself is beautiful. There's a large fountain in the center of the building that gives the space a unique, open feel, and it makes the library feel more like a community gathering place with an air of nostalgia and calmness that comes with a spa day. There are lots of tables and study areas spread throughout the library, so it's never difficult to find a place to sit. The collections are plentiful, with a wide selection of books across different genres, mixed media, and materials for everyone including a dedicated children's area. One feature that was new to me was the Makerspace. It's available by appointment for library card holders, and you'll need to bring your own design or project idea. An instructor is there to guide you through the process, which makes it less intimidating for anyone interested in learning something new. It lives next to a café located on the lower level, which is convenient if you plan on spending a few hours studying or working. Overall, this is an amazing library with great amenities, plenty of space, and resources that go beyond books. First, the library is beautiful. There are fountains, trees, and flowers. It's right next to the Orange Circle, so it's such a cute area. I will sometimes go for coffee in the Orange Circle after visiting the library. Friends Bookstore- This bookstore has the BEST selection of books. Outside is a bookcase of $0.25 books. Inside the book store, there are rows of books and they even have a kid/teen section. Books range from $0.50 to $1.50, with some special priced books (usually $3). Also, every month they have a special sticker color that indicates that those books as $0.50! I have gotten so many books here for myself, as gifts, and for work (I'm a school counselor and they have a section for mental health books in the kids section!). On Tuesdays, $1.50 books are half off for members. It's $12 a year for a membership but it includes $5 towards books and half off Tuesdays. TOTALLY worth it. I have gotten so many good and even newly released books here for $0.50-$3! It's really a steal! Everyone I have encountered working/volunteering there have been so kind and helpful. I genuinely LOVE coming here and browsing books and talking to the volunteers.

Plenty of people who aren't students come by to study and work. Noise level: One of the quietest libraries I've been to. Everyone's buckling down and doing their work. No loud groups or hushed whispers. Honestly, such an ideal place to get in the zone. Wifi: So fast! It didn't fail once. Health: Before you enter, you have to scan a QR code to do a health screening. A bit annoying, but appreciated. They have a separate one for just the general visiting public. Parking: You can snag free street parking if you come at the right time! Can be tricky during busy hours/seasons, but there's plenty of paid parking options available. Environment: I only went up to the 2nd level. Desks are pretty individualistic (study carrel pods) and line the windows which provided some natural lighting and glimpses at outside greenery. Upon entering there are stairs that lead to a small upper and lower level for teens that has desks and chairs. I snagged a table with an outlet on the middle level rather easily, and was able to get to work. There was also several computer stations and a place where you can print documents, for a charge I believe. The staff is also very friendly, and I definitely enjoyed doing work here uninterrupted. One thing to note is that if you're expecting complete silence, this might not be the place that you want to, but if you can tolerate some noise and speech, I think that this is a fine enough place to study and do some work.

The library's Wi-Fi works well. The people who visit the library are quiet. Which brings us to my gripe that I must discuss. At any time and at most times, when you're in the main library area on the ground level (top level) pretty much all the library staff is very, very loud in everything they do. When talking to library guests they speak in such a high volume, in contrast to all the other people who are silent doing their things, it is awful terrible loud. They have full blown in depth conversations at high decibels. Libraries are supposed to be quiet places to study. The other part of this gripe is the library aides. Throughout most times I'm there and I do mean throughout, the library aides do this thing....it seems like they throw the books they' handle onto these metal rolling carts they work with. Every couple of seconds you hear the sound of what appears to be a thick hardcover book slamming against the metal cart. It always startles me and makes me furious. I'm a very aware type of person. I would change my work style if my work was creating such a disturbance especially in a place like a library. And there's all these other loud sounds they make with their carts. Often you have a symphony of that and another loud conversation with the librarians which actually is the case this very moment. I'm not lying. I wish there was a place I could lodge a complaint or talk to the head of operations here. I continue to come back because of the waterfowl and the peace I get here and I am productive when I study here. But all the racket almost completely ruins the peace that would otherwise be had there if they weren't so goddamn loud. It's a library. It's supposed to be quiet and mellow. You should take your loud conversations outside if you have to have them. Do you hear any of the guests having loud conversation as you do? That's because they're not part of the problem. Other than that those two significant issues the library is perfect. I still recommend it and you might not be bothered by the noises I described. Give this library a shot. Parking is right next to the library and it has a lot of great views. It seems their books and graphic novels are great but I haven't taken a deep dive.
