Had them to come out to assess an oil tank that is in our basement. We want it to be removed, it's…read morerecently been leaking. We thought that they could just empty it, but they have to cut it up and dispose of it as well. That's even better! Paid them $75 to come to assess it, which was not a problem. On May 28th, they told us that they would be back to dismantle and take away the oil tank. The original date got pushed until June 16th, for whatever reason. I did not receive a phone call or a message stating that they would not arrive at 8 a.m., per our original conversation. Called several times and had to wait on someone to return our calls. We finally get in touch with the manager, John, and he tells us that no one will be coming to our house because they have several clients that they have PRIORITIZED because they don't have air conditioning. Mind you, the weather in the past two weeks has not been excessively hot, in fact, it's been cool outside and MAYBE had two days that were in the 80s. He states that they called and left a message. I have not received any calls, I don't have any missed calls, nor do I have any voicemail messages from anyone at Witham's. We have work that we're trying to get done on our house and garage. We have had to push those jobs so that Witham's could come into our home utilizing the backyard; which is where the other contractors need to access the rest of our property, as well. We can't keep pushing off other things that we're trying to do to this house. We have scheduled places to be, individually as a family. We need to work on our home to be completed in a timely manner. For you to tell me, after accepting payment, giving us a verbal agreement, and scheduling an appointment for us oh, that you have decided to prioritize your customers, is absolutely ridiculous! It is not, according to John, a first come, first serve type of company. No matter what you may have going on, if they feel that someone else is more important than what you need done, then you will get bumped until they can come to help you. This oil is leaking in my home! Not sure how a broken air conditioning unit prioritises over leaking oil, that you can see and smell. We tried to get him to understand this from consumer perspective. Not as a business owner. As an individual, if you paid someone for a service, and was told a date that said service would take place, you would be upset if you were constantly told that it could not happen during that time. It feels as if we are getting the runaround. We have now had to take our business elsewhere! My parents have utilized this company for decades! Whether it was something within the home or them actually going to the gas station. We will no longer patronize this company as a family!

What really stood out was how easy they were to reach directly. They responded quickly and showed up the same day, even though they fit me into an incredibly packed schedule during a very difficult time--right after a major storm had caused widespread destruction and left entire communities dealing with electrical problems. Their willingness to make time for us meant a great deal. They kept me informed throughout the work, and their communication was exceptionally professional, clear, and responsive. They were also fair and reasonable with pricing--no gouging, no surprises, just quality work and honest service. It is hard to find electricians who combine technical skill, promptness, professionalism, and friendliness so well. If you need electrical work done and want people who are reliable, responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely pleasant to work with, Electric Power Solutions is absolutely the company to call.

I do want to clarify that I had no issue at all with your technician. He was very professional, and my review was not intended as a criticism of him or the service he provided while at my home. My concern was with the dispatch fee. Whether it was mentioned during the scheduling call or not, my underlying point was that I have had several contractors come to my home to quote work and have not encountered a separate dispatch fee simply to provide an estimate. As I stated, I also intended to revisit my review after the process was complete. Based on the professionalism of your technician and the fact that I felt your quote was reasonable, I would have given your company a much higher rating. That is why I find the decision to simply decline the work somewhat surprising. Rather than discussing my concern and allowing the overall experience to play out, you have chosen not to even consider moving forward with the project. From a customer's perspective, declining work because someone questioned a fee and expressed an opinion about it does not come across as particularly professional. I appreciate the refund, but I wanted to make sure my position was clear. My concern was never with your technician or the quality of his interaction with me. In fact, his professionalism and your reasonable quote had left me with a much more positive impression of your company before receiving this response.
