My dog Amara had been on the librella shot for arthritis. Before making the appointment I was told they didn't carry librella but they had Adequan. I was interested in learning more about it so I scheduled the appointment. When I arrived the receptionist was busy talking to another lady who was checking out but for about 10min. One of the vet tech came out to help me and get Amara's weight. Then I went up to the window and the receptionist has the audacity to tell me I'm late and fill out this paperwork. I wasn't late she was just busy talking On to the appointment. Went back to meet with the veterinarian who was extremely unprofessional. He was very disorganized in his mannerisms and his thoughts. He was explaining the difference between librella and Adequan but kept looking to his vet tech to explain. It seemed she was more knowledgeable than him and could keep the conversation straight. I would ask a question and he would look at her like I just asked him how to make a frittata. Amara got on meloxicam and I decided to give this Adequan a try. 1/2 way through the appointment he realizes and says, "oh I should give her an exam". My BF and I just looked at eachother like OMG. Then he starts explaining what I need to do for the Adequan injection and says she needs it 2x/ week. We were fine with that. Then he looks at me and tells me, "this is my only bottle so you'll have to order it online". never if I ever had a vet appointment where someone gives my dog an injection of medicine tells me I need to give it to her twice a week and then tells me I'll have to order the medication from chewy because that was his last bottle and he couldn't give me that bottle. When I was looking for his guidance when discussing the librella vs Adequan it was lacking, he was like so what do you want to do. My BF and I looked at eachother and were both thinking, like you're the vet, we are asking your recommendation. The vet appointment was a nightmare. I started looking for another vet because I was not coming back here and trusting him with the care of with my dogs. I found Palma Sola Animal Clinic (you can check my review with them). I DO NOT recommend this veterinary office for the safety and health of your pets, I would not come here.

We lost our 9yr old Beloved White Schnauzer January 6th 2026. I'm sorry my husband and I have been feeling depressed and lonely without Toby so my review is late. Long story short our boy was misdiagnosed with another Office and I had gone there almost 40yrs.He retired and it was time for Toby's 7th Annual Checkup. He had been eating a lot and drinking so much water. The Dr checked him did all his bloodwork etc. After that he asked if he could do a CT scan which we gave permission. He said he thought Toby had bladder stones. Well there were no stones but the Dr told us possibly a couple were not located where he couldn't see them. Put him on Bladder Food and he didn't tolerate it. Toby couldn't tolerate anything but Royal Canine Gastro fat free. I called he told us just to change him back to what he had been eating. We did and our boy proceeded to get worse drinking water, eating toilet paper and wanting to eat and eat. So we took him to Desoto Animal Hospital and Dr Harper came in and I'm sure with all my questions and asking to repeat things he may have been annoyed and he wasn't. He looked at the bloodwork from the other Dr and his bloodwork and came in and said the numbers elevated extremely. Asked if we could take him in at 8am the next day and they kept him all day testing. We picked him up and was told the Dr would be calling as soon as the tests were done. We got a call that was hard to swallow and so gently told us our boy had Cushings Disease. We had never heard of it. Had a tumor on his pituitary gland and not removable. They pass away within 2yrs maximum and he had already had it. Pets pant excessively trying to breathe and it presses on his diaphragm. The whole disease shuts down thier liver kidneys etc. We never left him and spent the last year with all sorts of issues and finally he wouldn't eat and I kept boiling boneless chicken and steamed carrots. I tried not to bother Dr Harper but sometimes I needed to know if different things were normal he wasn't doing. He was all bloated up and went from corner to corner to get comfortable. My husband wanted to get him through Christmas but we do feel bad but this disease is absolutely horrible and I pray for any sweet pet that gets it and thier family. I've seen some unfair reviews here on this Clinic and in particular Dr Harper. He treated all of us like we were his family and took his lunch or checking on his animals he had that were sick and had surgery to put Toby ( alias Tobias) Dr Harper would call him occasionally to tease and he wasn't in a hurry and had everything set up nicely and said when we were ready very gently put him out of pain. He wrapped him in a nice blanket and took him to the back and they did his paw prints and nose print then cut some fur and they have a navy blue paw keychain and they put some fur in and on one side we can see it! Another nice surprise we got within a week Dr Harper sent us a very nice card and wrote in it and all the staff wrote and signed it! THANKYOU TO DR. HARPER and Desoto Animal Hospital for the care you gave our boy! We miss him but you helped us through it! Like I mentioned…read morein my previous review, this is a clinic and it's definitely one of the cheapest places you can go to get vaccinations, regular check ups, tests, and other things. They also sell medication and tea/flea prevention treatments. Since it's very cheap it's not the easiest to get an appointment. Usually they are booked a month in advance so make sure you call, email or stop in ..They have a previous big parking lot and waiting areas for the pets. This isn't a walk in clinic.. you will be seen on time or pretty close to your appointment as long as you arrive on time. They accept all major ccs, cash. Restrooms are clean and they have an area where people drop off used items that they no longer want need thats free for anyone who might need such as crates, toys, pads, harness etc. so if you are looking for something make sure you check it out or if you have items to donate you can bring them there. Sandy in the front desk is super sweet and always helpful! She is always very friendly and answers all my questions and concerns. I seriously enjoy great customer service! They also have the shelter nextdoor, which if you are looking to adopt or foster, is a few steps away. I highly recommend coming here to get your healthy dog visit because the money goes towards the shelter and back into this place.. but you do still need to have a local vet just in case for an emergency visit for your pet, they won't do that here.

This clinic had 5 stars and now I see why. The entrance was easy to get into with sliding doors. The waiting room was clean and did not smell like The Vet. The front desk technician was friendly and calm and got us checked in easily. Our wait wasn't too long. The vet technician came in and was very friendly and kind. She listened and asked questions of what we went through. Rosie our fur baby was taken I. The back where the Dr. Checked her vitals and came back in to explain treatment options. The vet was great in calming us both and explaining everything well. As I was thinking "what would you do if this was your dog", she suddenly explained which option she would choose and why, but that the second option would give us proof positive and comfort of knowing exactly what was going on inside our pooches tummy. We decided for the second option that was also the most expensive but we didn't want to be unsure and have to return. They got everything fine in about 20 minutes and brought her back to me. The vet said it took a little longer than normal because everyone was fawning over her, and that she was fine. She went over everything they did and showed me the X-rays. After explaining what we were looking at she said they would email them to us. They offered follow up care and instructions and said they would call us tomorrow to check on her. I wish the human emergency room ran that smoothly, was that clean and the staff was that friendly and nice. It's the only place I will go back to if there is an emergency, it was a 40 min. Drive but we'll worth the travel.

She explained everything clearly, made sure Kobe was comfortable, and helped me understand what was going on. It turned out he likely pulled something in his back. They gave him pain meds, anti-inflammatories, and nerve medication, and she emphasized how important rest is even after he starts feeling better. I left feeling completely reassured and grateful for the care he received. After this experience, I've decided to switch to this clinic permanently.
