Dr. Doyens and staff are the most compassionate and comforting vet staff I've encountered. They always make you feel they have time to completely cover your pet's health. They are very caring when providing shots and blood draws. Dr. Doyens dedicates a lot of time communicating with pet owners too. We've had 2 elderly dogs cared for there. One had cancer, for which they provided feasible options and a specialist referral. Dr. Doyens followed up, promising to provide comfort care as long as our pet had quality of life. When she got past that point he and staff gently les us to the euthanasia decision and provided that service with the utmost compassion. Recently moved here from NY and desperately trying to find a good vet for my pets. Terrible experience. The woman was so rude, and standoffish. She would not give me any idea of how much it might be to bring in my dog for tests for the specific symptoms he's having. It makes zero sense. What if I bring him in and the bill is something crazy? I wouldn't be able to simply grab that outta the sky. They should be able to tell me some sort of pricing- if with his age, breed and specific symptoms say it usually takes a temperature test, and a stool sample (ha, I don't know) to figure out the problem- say the in office temp test is 15$ and the stool test is 50$ (again these prices could be way higher or lower I have no idea) They should be able to tell me how much the tests/procedures whatever are. Why would I go out of my way to go to your office when I might have to turn around and leave cause I'm not made outta money? I would not waste my time with this place. Definitely not a place I would want to take my pup. The last place I called a few weeks ago out in the panhandle has a way better grip on things, and was very precise, clear, AND COMFORTING as I was extremely worried about my pup. I would not want my pup around the woman here at all. No way Jose! Update: this is the correct location. It sounds to me like either you were the person I spoke to or the person I spoke to doesn't want to own up to it because I can guarantee she would remember speaking with me. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this vet clinic. Dr. Doyens is obviously incredibly smart and passionate about his job. The vet techs treat my boys like they're their own pets and do a good job at comforting them. On top of that they are reasonably priced and I believe they do exotics (I've seen a few ferrets in and out). Highly recommend! read more

My experience with the clinic was initially good as the staff and Dr. Doyen did exceptional work with my dog Jagger. Then, things went south. The recommendation was made to get preventatives (heart worm and tick and flea meds) for Jagger. At time of purchase for the meds no one mentioned that the meds were very expensive and non refundable if they left the office. The receipt made no mention of this as well and there was no sign that I saw at time of checkout made mention of this. So I tried to return the meds a couple of days later, boxes unopened, and they declined because there was a small orange sticker on the box that said it was non refundable. Even my credit card company said there was nothing I could do, even though this was not disclosed at time of purchase, because that sticker was on the box it absolved this company of doing the right thing. So this left a bad taste in my mouth and just wanted to warn anyone going to this establishment to beware and make sure you understand the office policy. read more

We rushed him there and they got him right in to be seen. They quickly performed a procedure to help our puppy and charged us a very reasonable fee. After relocating here from the West, I have had to find a Veterinarian that can address canine allergy issues. I went to another vet that was supposedly an "expert" with dermatology. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I just went to Manatee Vet Clinic and had an outstanding experience. Their office was efficient, friendly, caring, and Dr. Doyens was comprehensive in explaining the cause of the environmental dermatitis and methods to treat it. I felt "confident" with Dr. Doyens. Dog allergies are hard to treat and finding a vet that actually understands allergies is even harder. Great experience after much research. read more
