Dr. Doyens and staff are the most compassionate and comforting vet staff I've encountered. They always make you feel they have time to completely cover your pet's health. They are very caring when providing shots and blood draws. Dr. Doyens dedicates a lot of time communicating with pet owners too. We've had 2 elderly dogs cared for there. One had cancer, for which they provided feasible options and a specialist referral. Dr. Doyens followed up, promising to provide comfort care as long as our pet had quality of life. When she got past that point he and staff gently les us to the euthanasia decision and provided that service with the utmost compassion. He has been very thorough with our family t year old cocker mix, meeting her needs for elderly care. I definitely recommend Manatee Veterinary Clinic. read more

Meet and greet with our new rescue. Love Dr Doyens! Very thorough and empathetic and not corporate owned!

Had my first visit with my new rescue Montana, 4yr old Border Collie. The entire staff was as good as one could hope for. Everyone greeted her and show a loving, professional approach and care to my dog. To add to the visit we received a toy as a parting thank you, she loves it. Final comment, just opened my mail, received a wonderful card, signed by the entire staff thanking us for our visit, very Cool... Gary Lobel & Montana. read more

Great local Veterinary clinic with great staff. And it is a welcome treat that it is family owned and not Corporate!

Amazing crew amazing Dr.Peters. Young and smart . But everyone there were just a great team. Thank you

Our baby boy jumped off the sofa and torn his knee joint. Dr. Doyens and his staff are exceptional. They immediately made an appointment for him to be worked in that day, and the attention paid to Bandit and his condition could not have been better. These folks are truly compassionate and really care about your pet. Everyone on the staff is always smiling and helpful. Your pet will not get better care anywhere! Thank you, Dr. Doyens, and your competent staff. Our boy is on the mend! read more

Excellent group. Always responsive to our needs. They get right back to us when we leave a message.

I'm going to be honest with you. From the outsides of this building I thought the worst, but it doesn't take away from how much all the workers care about doing their job. Very friendly, courteous, and as I said caring. The doctor, David is extremely efficient at what he does. Hopefully with his expertise, we help our cat with her battle of obesity. read more

first visit and no one took his temp or did blood work they sent him home on dog ibuprofen and not even 2 days later my dog dies. I feel like if I wouldn't have taken him there or gave him the meds they told me to my baby would still be alive as he was recovering just fine before taking him. read more

Terrible experience. The woman was so rude, and standoffish. She would not give me any idea of how much it might be to bring in my dog for tests for the specific symptoms he's having. It makes zero sense. What if I bring him in and the bill is something crazy? I wouldn't be able to simply grab that outta the sky. They should be able to tell me some sort of pricing- if with his age, breed and specific symptoms say it usually takes a temperature test, and a stool sample (ha, I don't know) to figure out the problem- say the in office temp test is 15$ and the stool test is 50$ (again these prices could be way higher or lower I have no idea) They should be able to tell me how much the tests/procedures whatever are. Why would I go out of my way to go to your office when I might have to turn around and leave cause I'm not made outta money? I would not waste my time with this place. Definitely not a place I would want to take my pup. The last place I called a few weeks ago out in the panhandle has a way better grip on things, and was very precise, clear, AND COMFORTING as I was extremely worried about my pup. I would not want my pup around the woman here at all. No way Jose! Update: this is the correct location. It sounds to me like either you were the person I spoke to or the person I spoke to doesn't want to own up to it because I can guarantee she would remember speaking with me. read more

I called this place because of their positive reviews and because I was in a big need of a new veterinarian for my pets. Recently moved here from NY and desperately trying to find a good vet for my pets. The lady who answered the phone wasn't nice, didn't asked any questions, she just said that they are not taking new patients and hang up the phone. Very disappointed!!! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this vet clinic. Dr. Doyens is obviously incredibly smart and passionate about his job. The vet techs treat my boys like they're their own pets and do a good job at comforting them. On top of that they are reasonably priced and I believe they do exotics (I've seen a few ferrets in and out). Highly recommend! read more

I would give 10 stars if i could. I come from the pet industry, I tend to be picky. My PWD is so scared to go to the vet(any vet). I can not commend the entire Staff enough for the time and attention they gave him. He was less fearful than he has been in years. Doc was informative and answered all my questions. They cared and wanted to give good service and take the best care Possible of Bill. The clinic is convenient, small and personable. It is very clean and prices are good as well. We have found our vet! Debbie and Bill read more

Everyone at Manatee Veterinary Clinic was terrific with our cat, right until the last moments of his life. Dr. Doyens and staff provided a high level of care and also cared about us and the patient. Very highly recommended. If we get another pet, we're headed straight back to this clinic. read more

The staff are very knowledge and concerned about my dog. It is a smaller practice so I feel like she is receiving more individualized care. Dr. Doyens extremely smart and friendly. My dog is getting the best care. It is truly what she deserves. read more

I have been taking my four dogs to Dr. Doyens for over a year now and they never disappoint. Our last visit was not a routine check. They worked me in when it was convenient for me and my work schedule. I feel like a valued customer which is absolutely priceless. They always take their time and I have never felt rushed. I feel like they are ALL extremely knowledgeable and caring individuals. I truly appreciate the care they give my furbabies. Thank you ALL!! read more

I have been coming here for years. When Dr. May retired, I was sceptical if the care would be at the same level. All I can say is that the staff is very friendly and caring. De. Doyens is great to deal with and shows the upmost compassion for my beagle. read more

The vet, vet tech, an entire staff were very nice and patient. My dog Bentley is NOT easy to deal with, but they did a great job with him.

Dr Doyens and staff are the best. Our cat is VERY skittish and they are patient and caring with her. Dr Doyens makes it easy to ask questions and makes sure all our issues are handled. Staff is friendly and always calls the day after to check up on our cat. read more

Dr Doyens and his staff are great. They have been there for all of my pets' needs, both routine and when small emergencies came up. Very knowledgeable and friendly! read more

My experience with the clinic was initially good as the staff and Dr. Doyen did exceptional work with my dog Jagger. Then, things went south. The recommendation was made to get preventatives (heart worm and tick and flea meds) for Jagger. At time of purchase for the meds no one mentioned that the meds were very expensive and non refundable if they left the office. The receipt made no mention of this as well and there was no sign that I saw at time of checkout made mention of this. So I tried to return the meds a couple of days later, boxes unopened, and they declined because there was a small orange sticker on the box that said it was non refundable. Even my credit card company said there was nothing I could do, even though this was not disclosed at time of purchase, because that sticker was on the box it absolved this company of doing the right thing. So this left a bad taste in my mouth and just wanted to warn anyone going to this establishment to beware and make sure you understand the office policy. read more

We are traveling from out of town and our puppy was injured. I called to see if they could see him and they answered "absolutely". There were no other questions asked. We rushed him there and they got him right in to be seen. They quickly performed a procedure to help our puppy and charged us a very reasonable fee. We were very pleased with their service! read more

After relocating here from the West, I have had to find a Veterinarian that can address canine allergy issues. I went to another vet that was supposedly an "expert" with dermatology. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I just went to Manatee Vet Clinic and had an outstanding experience. Their office was efficient, friendly, caring, and Dr. Doyens was comprehensive in explaining the cause of the environmental dermatitis and methods to treat it. I felt "confident" with Dr. Doyens. Dog allergies are hard to treat and finding a vet that actually understands allergies is even harder. Great experience after much research. read more

My cat needed help ASAP! Called as first time visit and they were excellent. Can't save how pleased I am.

Took my dog today to get checked by the vet, being from NY and need a vet for my dog I tried Manatee Vet . I was impressed by the staff and the vet himself. Very knowledgeable and listened to all my concerns and questions. Everything was explained clearly and I was satisfied that all my concerns and questions about my visit were answered. I will definitely use them again and recommend any looking for a vet to use Manatee Vet. read more

My dog is a very strong pit bull terrier rescued after 600 days in a shelter. He can be quite a handful. The staff at Manatee Veterinary were not afraid to approach him and handle each situation with skill and compassion. I couldn't be more pleased and grateful for the way he was treated. Highly recommend. read more

We have been going to Manatee Veterinary Clinic since we moved here 3+ years ago and have felt welcomed from the minute we walked through the door and every time we go. We have lived all over the country, and we have always had dogs and can say unequivocally, that this is one of the best vets and staff ever encountered. All of the staff are exceptionally friendly, professional and caring and when you are in your appointment with Dr. Doyens, you feel at ease, because he takes time to listen to your questions and concerns, responding with sound, practical advice. I have recommended MVC to family, friends and neighbors. read more

From start to finish, the level of professionalism and care is top rate. When I walked in, I knew it was the perfect find! I love that there are cats greeting me. The staff is so loving and friendly. It was a really great visit. And, the vet on staff that day had such a great "bedside manner." Thanks for taking such great care of Feliz. We'll be back. And, so will his sister and brother when it's time for their annual checkups. read more

We love Dr. Doyens office! His entire staff are beyond kind, caring and welcoming. They take such great care of our two pugs and cat. I greatly appreciate how thorough Dr. Doyens is and how well he can articulate his knowledge. My biggest compliment is how much the follow up calls to check in on our dogs mean to us. It shows the high level of care service Dr. Doyens office provides. Thanks so much! read more
