Took our 11 year old German Shepherd to them on a Sunday when our regular vet was closed and he had two Grand Mal seizures through the night. They were able to accommodate our needs right away and got him on anti-seizure meds quickly and even observed him for the day to ensure the meds were working. The staff were friendly, caring and very knowledgeable. Pricing was a little high but that's the cost of having Urgent Care available and having knowledgeable staff giving up their weekends to ensure your pets are safe. Definitely not as high as a 24/7 emergency care clinic and In sure regular visits would be even more affordable. This is a privately owned clinic and not a corporate location(who charge way more). All in all, we're glad they were there and able to give our pup some relief quickly. They were even right in their suspected diagnosis of a brain tumor, as we spent the next 3 days watching our pup get better and then turn the opposite direction with an ultimate decision to put him down as it progressed too far for any quality of life. The meds worked for about 24 hours or so and then he started having focal seizures while on the meds. This showed the signs that the tumor had progressed too far already and was effecting his ability to function normally. We would absolutely use them again if ever in need and we didn't experience any of the issues expressed in some of the poor reviews left for them. Some people expect everything for free and pets are expensive to care for. This place definitely deserves better reviews than what some have left. You lack of reading what you're signing isn't their fault, and they are very much upfront about what the costs could be. We were quoted $1,500 and ultimately paid just over $1,000 so I don't see them trying to bait and switch anyone. Highly recommend them if they are an option for you! If we didn't have a vet already, we would certainly use this one more regularly. read more

!! WARNING!! Absolutely do not take your rabbit here. Dr Rivas advertises that she sees "exotic" pets but when she reaches her (very limited) rabbit knowledge, she blames it on lack of facilities. When I went to a different hospital, an actual rabbit specialist with 30 years of experience, they informed me that Dr. Rivas diagnostics were completely wrong and they couldn't understand why she only provided chest x-rays and not skull X-rays, given my rabbits sinus infection. They also wanted to know why Dr. Rivas didn't move forward on the anemia diagnosis that showed in my rabbits bloodwork, considering how deadly it is. Her PCV had dropped from 23 to 8. The vet said it's the worst case of anemia she's ever seen. My rabbit has passed away to due the neglect and inexperience of Lydia Rivas, and this isn't to be taken lightly. The exotic specialist informed me that they are receiving an abundance of malpractice referrals from inexperienced vets and are building a case against them to be stopped. Save yourself the time, heartache, effort and money and go see a dedicated exotic specialist and not Dr Rivas that parades around as a knows-all sees-all. It's also worth pointing out that there was critical testing done at Rivas' office that should have been returned in 3-5 days, that wasn't returned to me for 2 weeks. This office left me on my own to call the lab directly to get results; and Rivas never called me with the results nor did she return my phonecall, she had her tech send me an email. When I called her office to let her know my rabbit passed, I asked her to call me back and she didn't. This person lacks any compassion, which is essential when treating someone's pet that is their family member. You also won't enjoy her condescending nature to say things like, "remember when I said..." Over and over. Rivas: remember when I said my rabbit couldn't breathe, and you're only response was "give her a steam bath"? Even chat GPT knows that a rabbit that can't breathe is a life threatening emergency, but your lack of knowledge prevented you from giving her actual treatment or recommending that I take her to emergency room asap. If you didn't know what to do, you could have asked someone or said "I actually don't know, this rabbit needs a DOCTOR." This was preventable. Incompetent, inexperienced, ego-driven vets are killing our pets with wrong diagnosis and ineffective treatment. Do not spend your money here if you care about your rabbits livelihood. It's difficult for me to remark on cost because I would spend any amount of money to help my animals. However it's worth noting that the day my experience began at Parrish my rabbit had also seen a vet at Keystone Animal Hospital that morning. Yesterday I found out that these two veterinary offices are owned by the same person and operate as "sister offices" sharing vet communication and pet profile information. That day, I was charged by both offices for the same thing. To be clear, I went to keystone first where they charged me for blood work and X-rays, and then that afternoon I went to Parrish where Rivas charged me for the same bloodwork and X-rays. Two offices, that share information, charging the same customer for the same testing, on the same day. This is a huge red flag for me that the doctors most likely get paid on production and that my pets well-being is secondary. So not only did this increase the money I spent, it unnecessarily stressed out my rabbit. Please do not bring your pets here. read more

Parrish - Peanut getting a blood transfusion at Broward Avian and exotic, after a failed diagnosis at Parrish veterinary clinic by Lidia Rivas - Veterinarians Near Me - Parrish, Florida

Brief Summary: If you're in need of some quality veterinary care, look no further! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. All of the things you want for your pet! Would I Recommend This Business? Yes! The care: I brought my 2 month old kitten Tang in for his first ever vet appointment. He had to get 2 shots and a checkup. The doctor and the technician did a great job of making it as easy and painless for him as possible. They constantly were petting him to try and make him more comfortable. His shots went great, and the doctor gave him a full checkup. Overall, they did a great job of caring for my little buddy! Service and Staff: The staff here were ALL super friendly. I can't remember the last time I said that. I talked to four different staff members when I was there and they were all friendly as can be. I waited for about ten minutes before going into the back, but it didn't bother me. In my opinion, a ten minute wait is really good for any type of healthcare office. I didn't get the names of anyone except for my doctor, doctor Sam. She was absolutely outstanding, and I would happily recommend her to anyone. I was not rushed at all, they took their time with me and answered all of my 10,000 questions. They didn't try to push any upselling on me either, which made me happy. They also told me I could call the office anytime, even if it's just for a simple question about my cat. Overall, great service and great staff. I couldn't be happier! Location and Interior: The location is really beautiful. The office is an old house that is over 100 years old. I love that the building has a lot of character to it. Everything felt very clean. It didn't even smell like animals in there, which tells me that they do a good job of cleaning. Overall, a beautiful and clean location! Final Thoughts: I found this Vet office to be truly exceptional. I went here purely based on my own research and reading reviews from others. I will always be the first to call a business out when they are doing the wrong things, but I always strongly believe in highlighting businesses that are doing all of the right things. This is one of those businesses that is doing all of the right things! If you need a place to take your pet, give them a try. You'll be happy and so will your pet! Stay fresh Mother Fooders! :p read more

Be ready to be majorly disappointed and ripped off $$$ by these folks. Don't expect transparency or clarity and make sure to be ready to drop large amounts of $$$. These folks are a joke! I'd pay for my dogs no matter what, but their transparency is zilch! None! Nada! Don't waste your time, find someone who cares to be honest. read more

I took my cat "Sawyer" in when he had high fever and his first diagnosis was perhaps not long to live. They treated Sawyer every few days for a week and gave us medication to continue at home. Sawyer pulled through and they treated him with the utmost care and helped to make Sawyer and myself feel safe and at home in the right place. read more

Our pug had bladder stones, was blocked and could not pee. We called on a Sat in AM and they could not see us until 7 PM. We explained when making the appointment that he would need to be catheterized. When we arrived, a possible vet tech saw us and took all the info. He then returned and told us that the "Dr" that was there could not do this procedure. We do not believe that this person was a Dr. as all veterinarians can do this procedure. We had to then find another ER Vet who could do this procedure. Finally found one on RT 64 and reached them 30 minutes before they closed. This was a life/death situation which they casually addressed, made us wait 8 hrs to be seen, and they said no one there could do the procedure. DO NOT USE THIS ER VET group. They are a disgrace! read more

brought my cat to Parish Urgent Care because he was limping at home. Unfortunately, my experience with the DVM, Grecia Corredor, was extremely disappointing. The moment we were in the exam room, she dismissed my concerns simply because my cat was presenting differently due to fear. I explained multiple times that he walks differently when he's scared, but she didn't take that into account. Instead, she focused on his weight and immediately assumed his issue was neurological. I also let her know that when he's scared he may hiss or bat, but he is not an aggressive cat. She took that comment and used it as a reason not to even check his legs, despite him not acting aggressive in the room -- just scared. She wanted to charge nearly $1,200 for X-rays and blood work. I originally asked for just the X-ray, but she kept pushing the blood work, so I agreed. And shockingly, everything came back fine -- no diabetes and no neurological issues. Once those were ruled out, she decided it must be "spine degeneration" based solely on his weight. She completely ignored the possibility of a soft-tissue sprain, which is the exact reason I brought him in. She even wanted to prescribe steroids with nothing concrete to justify a spine diagnosis. It felt like assumptions instead of actual evaluation. The only positive part of the visit was the vet tech. I didn't catch her name, but she was the one who actually listened. She understood my concerns, treated my cat gently, and took the time to walk me through options and pricing without making me feel like my pet was just a dollar sign. The facility itself seems nice, but if Grecia Corredor is your vet, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. read more

Friendly professional staff and Dr. Rivas is great. They truly care about their patients and gave us great information and ideas.

They have saved my English bulldog more than once! I trust them to take such amazing care of my dogs. After hour care is just as great as the day time staff. It makes me feel better that know I have somewhere to take my dogs that's affordable even after normal business hours read more

So warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly and treat the pets as if they are their own. Very clean!

Amazing staff. I know my pets are getting the best treatment at an affordable cost. Very knowledgeable

My pets always get amazing care here. I have quite a lot of animals, and someone always needs something, but I never leave feeling like I overpaid or got overcharged for a service. You certainly get what you pay for, and these greats do a fantastic job for a decent price! They have multiple vets that work there AND they even have an after hours urgent care! The urgent care is a bit more expensive, but so much cheaper and faster than going to the ER. So grateful to have found this place. I won't take my cats or dogs anywhere else! read more

This is a terrible place. We first thought it was good. We have dogs with allergies and were giving apoquel. One dog prestcription ran out so they made us take dog #2 for a physical and blood work up. In the office they said your visit today will be 199.00. Then they come back to the room now its 350.00. They also said it is the only script the dog gets. Now we spent 350.00 to find out we can not get the meds these dogs need. omg!! Do you think they are smoking this medicine??? It allergy meds that are very mcuh needed for Fl. and they will tell you that. They are decietful and over charge. Their website says afforable. So not true!!! Give them a try and see what they charge you compared to what they tell you. Bait and hook. Now we are going to find a new Vet and have to pay again for 1st visits and maybe blood work. Going to try and get records sent to new Vet. We will see they are not working for you animal. The are for the almighty dollar. No Thanks read more

They are amazing! Super thankful for the support they have given me and my pets! They also have urgent care, which gives me a lot of peace of mind! read more

Listen! If you are slipping in additional procedures/services than what your patient's are coming in for, and acting like they should have known because that subject was brought up during an initial exam, then that's pure manipulation! I got a quote for a neuter in Jan., go in for initial exam and during that discussion about all the things dog related to health at that age, I also asked about supplements to be proactive w/hip dysplasia (potentially) down the road. Fast forward 2 months later, I take him in to drop him off. They take about 50 mins to get to me, and were very rushed.. didn't go over anything except they would call me if anything came up and would send me a payment link to pay before I picked up if I wanted (never got a payment like ironically). They did have me sign the "quote", but I assumed it was the same as before, but w/meds added, so initialed and left. When I picked him up, a lot was going on.. He's groggy, I'm concerned and anxious to get him home, and just pay the bill, including the additional $185 procedure that had nothing to do with why we were there. I did tell the woman checking me out that it felt like way too much and I was completely sticker shocked, but just wanted to get out of there! This morning, I'm combing through the original quote, the quote they had me initial, and the final bill. They knew what they were doing! Of course I called and went through everything and get nothing but excuses and assumptions for what they thought happened. No ma'am, I'm over it! I'm tired of the fake service! Be on the up and up, don't lie, don't be shady, have integrity from the beginning, not when you're called out for it. Thank you, btw, for the refund, now don't do that crap to others! No way to trust a business when this kind of thing happens! read more
