To start off, I'm never going anywhere else for a haircut. New York Master Barbers in Franklin Square is just different. They have a great vibe, and the barbers actually listen to what you want. I came in for a quick trim with my husband and our son--and wow, they both came out lookin GREAT. Best men's haircut I've seen in a while, and my kid's fade was perfect. What I love is it didn't feel like a chore. It was a good experience, fast but not rushed, and just overall good energy. You can tell these barbers got skills, and they care. Honestly, this place showed me the power of a proper shape-up and beard trim. Highly recommend this spot if you need a barbershop in Franklin Square or anywhere nearby like Elmont, Garden City, or West Hempstead. Really glad I found New York Master Barbers. I had been searching for a reliable barbershop near Garden City NY that does both men's haircuts and professional beard trims, and this place exceeded expectations. I booked online which was super convenient, and the appointment started right on time--no waiting around like other spots. Gali was my barber and he was fantastic. Very focused, detail-oriented and clearly experienced. He gave me a clean skin fade and shaped my beard exactly the way I asked. You can tell this is a shop that actually cares about precision cuts and grooming--not just rushing people in and out. The shop itself is really clean and has a comfortable atmosphere. I'm from Garden City and it's a quick drive, totally worth it. If you're in the area (Franklin Square, West Hempstead, Elmont, etc.) and searching for a men's barbershop that does fades, shape-ups, and hot towel shaves, this is the place. I was in a jam and needed a haircut and decided I'm going to pop in I happen to get cut by the barber Alex and I could not be more happy.... I don't usually leave reviews for good or bad service. But I had a really bad experience here at the hands of MR Panda. He mess up my haircut and beard, is going to take a few weeks for it to grow back, so I guess is not the end of the world. The only good thing going for you now MR is your great attitude, but dude you really needs to look into adjusting your expertise for better. Al's crew is always top natch and down to earth, professionals. They always remember how you want your hair cut. Furthermore, they will be straight with you if you think of changing your look, they wont just cut what you say without discussing what will work. This is because they understand that everyone has diffent shapes heads and thickness to hair. Very family oriented. I have even seen them help thoughs that unfortunately could afford a haircut. Been going there since they opened, 10 plus years. That place is on top of what looks are out there. They are not like the other places that have been changed names and owners over time. First opened as New York Master Barbers and there has never been a need or want to change their name just because of troubling times. I've been coming here since it opened with the very few times my friends dragged me somewhere else near town. Gali is always on point and makes my hair perfect from the fade to the lines even when I leave it long and he uses clippers I have never had a bad haircut from here and recommend these guys to everyone. The shops in town are super overpriced and by far. Now that they started doing appointments it makes it easier to make sure you're in and out. They still take walk ins and their always up beat and can always put a smile on your face within a minute of you walking in. Overall if I could give this place a 10/10 I would. read more

I went there the other day for the first time. I asked for a skin tape up and a shave. My haircut looked terrible! I looked like I was going to join the military. He also shaved my beard with no hot towel or shaving cream. He rushed my haircut and it took him 10-15. Also he charged me $35 for a terrible job and said something sleek in his language when I didn't give him a tip. I will never go back and I would say far away from this place! I've been living in the area for 16 years, and ever since I discovered this place, it's the only barber shop where I'd get my haircut. Al and his team are always on point; they listen to what you want and deliver with their cuts; they're always friendly and easy to talk to; they're very family-oriented and handle every customer with respect. Al is just as great of a owner as he is a barber. He always greets you when you walk in the door and always says bye when you leave. nicest barber shop i have been too in years the music they play is awesome. mike is a good guy, however, this one guy the heavy set guy was horrible. The guy was giving me an attitude when i told him wat i wanted. He seemed like he never cut hair in his life. i was literally arguing with him over wat i wanted. He was very unprofessional. Every time i told him he wasn't cutting my hair the way i told him that i wanted it to be cut, he told me that tht was wat i asked for when i didnt ask for it. i can cut better hair than him i might as well apply for a job there and take his spot. i hope mike takes a good look at this because i feel bad not coming here anymore it shouldnt be one good person to rely on it should be a whole crew to be relied on. read more
