I love to browse antique stores but I hardly ever buy. Unique Antique Shop changed all that. Open…read moreseven days a week they have some amazing finds. A large and unique selection of items coupled with reasonable prices had me leaving with several items. The first item I coveted was a signed print of a heron by artist W. Harold Hancock. The price was $139. I was afraid to ask about it but I knew it would be perfect in my dining room. I ended up getting the print for $60. The frame and matting costs more. Thank you so much Mary, I love it. It makes me smile every time I see it. I have enjoyed learning about the artist. I also picked up a bust of Caesar? because he needed a home and two Asian pagoda lanterns made out of heavy pig iron from their garden area. There is so much to see. Most of the items are individual vendors but they are happy to call them and pitch your offer. You can feel comfortable offering 20 percent less than the marked prices. I appreciate how everything had a price so you didn't have to guess. The inventory changes monthly and the staff is wonderful.I actually stumbled on this place by accident when I overshot a turn. It was just meant to be.

As much as I would like to keep this place a secret and selfishly use it as my own private honey…read morehole for finding awesome antiques and collectibles it wouldn't benefit me or the owners since they would be out of business between my visits. This place is way way over the top amazing, it is filled floor to ceiling with good stuff and what mean by that is real old quality collectibles yes there are some reproduction items but those items are in minimum quantity. My photos only give you a peek of what you can expect once you enter the property that's by design and shows a little more of my selfish tendencies when it come to one of my hobbies. If you're a seasoned collector or a novice you will equally be impressed. The owner and his consignment partners have done an excellent job in presenting an exceptional collection. The prices reflect the quality so don't expect thrift store prices here. I am sure they would deal with serious collectors and understand condition so put your bargaining skills to good use but understand it pays to know what your buying its rarity and value before throwing out an offer. This place rates high on the list and is worth a bookmark.

This is the most amazing store. It is located in a non descript plaza off of University and Sample…read moreRd. I attended the church in this plaza once but somehow missed this fantastic find. I was on my way to the new Nordic Bake Shop, another must visit when I spotted their sign that said vintage, one of my loves. Walking into the store is like stepping into a museum except you can buy anything. Amazing treasures await around every corner. They carry furniture, art, sculpture, clothes, and accessories. The jewelry made me salivate. After talking with the owner Karen for awhile I was persuaded to try some silver rings on and of course I ended up with two of them. I have been wearing the heart shaped one every day since my visit. I asked Karen what the oldest piece in the store was and she was a wooden cabinet from France dated 1730 that comes with a ghost! The owner Karen is a sweetheart. I had the best chat with her. She will buy your old jewelry and gold. The jewelry collection here has so many interesting pieces, I really had to hold myself back. When you are looking for that special something that no one else has, pay them a visit.

The seedy plaza is almost entirely empty and looks quite run down with lots of open places for rent. And it's no where near other similar stores or shops, either. Inside is like coming into a hidden treasure trove. Lots and lots of very interesting items to look at of all sorts. Of course, with today's current super high gold prices, the high end jewelry is (high) priced accordingly. There's a lot of Asian pieces of jade, snuff bottles, and the like. Many display cases are dazzlingly full of shiny baubles and beads. Even the costume jewelry is ogle worthy. In the back of the store are the minks -- stoles, jackets, and full coats plus a separate rack of other types of fur outerwear. You may recognize your mom's or grandmother's or great aunt's stuff here. Then there are the fancy dresses -- with beads or spangles or rhinestones, etc. And there's accessories as well... I'm sure a store like this would be packed with customers on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale or say Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. Of course, there, the rent would be astronomically higher. This is the kind of place great for browsing and if your pocketbook will allow, a great place to treat yourself to a special birthday or anniversary gift.
