I came to Brain Peterson for help when i needed and all they cared about was how much money they can squeeze from me while doing the smallest amount of work possible, and they don't always respond. Also this is not Brian's business, he inherited it from his father and you can tell. The guy is not all there when you talk to him and tells you things you want to hear without following thru. If you are reading this i wouldn't waste your money with these guys, they have big empty offices and lots of bills, you will never get service you need even if you pay the thousands in fees, like i did. My last accountant charged me the same amount but he actually took all my receipts and worked, what did you do for the $1250 you charged me? You added up all the numbers i gave you and failed to save me $2800 on taxes, your one job. You are lucky my chargeback failed, but i'll settle for this review. As a CPA myself, I would never treat a potential client like this, especially one that agreed to my price and delivery terms. No idea what the problem was. Robert neglected to list my four quarterly tax payments on the return- even though he had furnished the coupons for me to pay them. I was told that I had a substantial balance due, and without questioning it I sent the funds in to the IRS. Within a few weeks, I realized what happened and questioned Robert about why I had owed this money when I had paid quarterly estimates. We then filed an amended return. He has proceeded to blame me entirely for not checking his work and not "telling him" that I had paid the estimates. He has accepted no responsibility for not verifying with me as to if these were paid when preparing my taxes- no email, no phone call, no contact. Mr. Guest has since made ZERO EFFORT to help me recover the $15,000+ in overpayment and still takes ZERO responsibility. To this date, I have spent nine months calling the IRS (almost monthly) and speaking to various clerical folks who can give me no information as to where my $$ are. This is a nightmare which was completely avoidable if Robert Guest would have done what I paid him to do, which is to file an accurate return. At the very least, he could have accepted responsibility and worked on rectifying his egregious error. I would highly recommend your looking elsewhere for your accounting "professional".
