Mairs are one of the exceptional stores on Soho Road for that Asian wedding and bridal attire…read more They always display the latest designs and the fashion you can't produce in the UK, they bring all the items over from all over Asia, which includes, India, Singapore and far out east. Popular, and occasionally you will find a great sale on, they also have some nice outfits for men. Certainly take friends and family with you on your visit here. Whatever colours you prefer they sell. I like how they speak lots of languages, and it's more convenient for my mothers generation who knows that she trusts what they're saying about their garments when she can speak to them in her own language. I'd recommend visiting the store, car parking is available nearby, and the shop is served with bus routes regularly from the city and West Bromwich. Quite busy on the weekends though.

Despite the fact I have not brought anything from here, I have tried one or two sherwanis from Mairs. Just wearing them felt good and the only thing that prevented me from buying them was price. I did ask if they could reduce the price by a small amount but they couldn't. What I will say is that the staff here are very friendly and will help you if you need it. They will happily answer your questions and offer you advice. I did find some sherwanis had way too much embroidery but I guess there are Asians out there that like Indian suits with plenty of sequins/embroidery. If Mairs did lower their prices then maybe I would buy a sherwani from here. As well as Menswear, there are Asian Ladieswear on sale here as well.

I am impressed with the range of saris on offer here and there are bangles here as well for you to purchase. The saris come in many colours and the designs are pretty intricate as well. I am no fashion expert and don't really spend much time in these shops. If I do end up going shopping with my parents and they go into sari stores, I tend to stand outside the shop. I didn't actually see any women staff at Memsaab despite this being a Ladieswear store. I did find this a bit strange. Why would you have a Ladies retail clothes shop and have no Women staff? To be fair I did speak to a male staff member and he did know his stuff. Whether I come back here, I'm not so sure.

I had heard a lot about Memsaab from friends and family. I'm assuming it's because of the way the…read moreshop has been marketed. The flagship store was opened in Luton, so generally people in and around the London area have heard of it. Thus, when it's mentioned people in the Midlands feel intrigued to visit. When I did, I was disappointed. It's a very average shop with very average styled unstitched outfits. I didn't find anything unique or unseen in other shops nearby. In fact, I found them to be a lot more expensive for clothes of synthetic fabrics, compared to other boutiques that sold similar embroidery on pure fabrics at a lesser price! The staff members can come across as cold, but I doubt this is intentional. I think they just have an eye for browsers, who aren't made to feel very welcome!

Not the first time I have said this but not enough Mens sherwanis on offer for me. As much as I liked the suits and as much as I liked the staff here, I just didn't feel as if there were enough sherwanis. The saris here at Dimpy's I have to say were pretty stunning though. But again it was the prices that put me off. If the shop did lower its prices then maybe I would consider buying a sari for one of my family members or even a sherwani. But at the moment I would have to say I have no intentions of coming back here. It is unfortunate because this shop actually does sell some decent sherwanis. I can however see many ladies coming to shop here.

The Asian bridal dresses here are pretty impressive and they are worth the money. But I did find…read morethem to be expensive and I reckon the prices could put off one or two people from coming here. I have come here with my parents and they have said exactly the same thing. The prices of the dresses were steep and that's one of the reasons why they did not buy anything from here. The designs on the different saris are pretty good and there are so many attractive saris to choose from. There are also sherwanis for Men here so this shop is for both Men and Women. Again the sherwanis on offer at Noor are excellent in appearance but expensive. The staff here are friendly and will help you. If you have any questions/issues, staff here will happily answer your questions.

They were very slow in there response were very vague. It made it stressful and I was expressive as to how I wanted the work to be the exact same. To my surprise, trusting them that they would come through, they showed me the end pic of the dress and I could tell right away the work was not the same. It was very similar but the main work was very bulky and big. The work i seen was intricate and detailed so naturally was expecting that. I have seen another bride with the same dress and she herself said the work on mine is way too big. As a designer you should also know what the work would look like on a certain shade, and I understand that it can look bigger but if you're going to make the work bigger then obviously it will look bulkier. They refused to believe the work was any different from what I had seen and it's frustrating when your in Canada ordering something in the uk that you can't really do anything about it. Unfortunately my hopes were killed and I cannot afford to buy another one so I'll have to stick it out with the one I've been given. 1 star is only for the efforts the tailor made into taking the time to create something a client didn't even ask for.
