Then they'll schedule an appointment, send 1 experienced mover and 3 guys they picked up off of the street and load SOME of your stuff in their trucks. Then with SOME of your stuff loaded, they'll deliver it to its new location. Once there, they'll unload, set it in place, partially assemble the items they fully disassembled, stay until late at night because they didn't plan correctly and then leave without finishing. Then guess what? You get a bill for over $1000 more than the quote. And this is the best part.... You get to hire another company to move the items this company charged you for but didn't move!! Hawk claims "pre-existing damage," yet they have produced no photos showing my furniture in my prior home to support this. They also damaged my son's bedroom furniture - not as expensive, but possibly beyond repair - and it upset him deeply to see his room left that way. I did, in frustration, remark that I "shouldn't have let my wife book the move," and I regret saying that. The truth is I approved the decision and take responsibility for choosing Hawk. The only thing I said to their crew was: "Is there a single piece that you didn't damage?" My experience stands, the damage was extensive, the liability payout is meaningless, and Hawk's response only reinforces the problem.
