Property owners are not in his best interest. He allows tenants to not pay rent on time, and charges no late fees or NSF fees. He also had a tenant sign a new lease agreement prior to talking with owners and having owner agree on rent amount. He will make excuses why tenants aren't able to pay on time, and not offer to help correct the unwanted behavior. Also is horrible at record keeping and takes forever to respond to simple emails or phone calls requesting information. He clearly needs to retire because his business practices are antiquated.

Building owner and/or manager M was also condescending and rude during troubleshooting hex and front door keys. We've had a break in which required new doors but we were not updated in a timely manner of when and how to use the doors and were not provided appropriate keys or hex items for entrances. These interactions have made staff on site uncomfortable and impacts their ability to work. Very prompt to come out though and the admin is nice!

He gave me my application and said I would get the office. When I came back from the holiday weekend, I contacted Marc again and said I want the office and I was getting all paperwork completed and would have the lease paid in full for the year. Marc texted me "I will check in with team to see when the suite will be ready to rent and keep you posted." Two and a half days later, I contact Marc at SMI and told him I had the full year's lease and the paperwork. Marc told me that he decided to give my office space that was promised to me to another tenant, a tenant that was there for six years and wanted to expand. Marc said they didn't want to lose this tenant as a customer and gave my promised office space to them. So much for keeping me posted as promised. I was left high and dry after believing the office was mine. I will never rent an office through SMI because of this unprofessional and unethical behavior from this business and its reps.
