This is right across the road from Hilan, which was absolutely jam packed when I tried to eat there this evening-it was so packed people were waiting, so I hopped across the road to Chuan or 'Royal Recipes'. Service was very friendly and attentive. My waiter spoke good english. I had spring rolls, which arrived scarily promptly, but were hot, fresh, crunchy and delicious, with a tasty sweet and sour sauce. For a main I had malaysian chicken curry, which was quite spicey, in a nutty, coconutty sauce, with fresh peppers, carrots and loads of decent enough chicken. It was a very generous portion. I also had a very generous glass of white wine. My bill came to just under €20 but they also have a set menu, where 2 courses plus a beer or other drink is €16. My waiter was so nice he miraculously appeared behind me to hold the door as I was exiting-very courteous, but not overbearing service.
Pros: prompt, tasty food, excellent service
Cons: food arrives a bit too fast, not as busy & atmospheric as other restaurants
