This was my first time getting a facial and I'm hooked! From the beginning to the end, the experience was GREAT! They care more about you and your skin, than pushing you to buy the most expensive treatment they offer. My esthetician, Wendy (I hesitate giving her name because it might make it harder to get an appointment with her when everyone realizes what a gem she is ) was AMAZING! She put on beach sounds of waves crashing to shore which was VERY relaxing. As a nurse, I totally appreciated that she was VERY informative and explained everything she was using and what the products were going to target. She also advised what products I could use at home in between sessions to help maintain my skin. I will definitely be having another facial! This was a FABULOUS first facial experience! I went through the most pain I've experienced during the procedure thinking it was normal when in actuality my skin was being burned off! Emailed manager who ignored me. Went to doctor and was prescribed cream and missed 2 weeks of work because I looked like Freddy Krueger and needed to stay out the sun. I had microdermabrasion today with Lupe and it was amazing. She was gentle and explained everything she was doing step by step. She did an awesome shoulder massage at the end which was icing on the cake. The place is kind of hidden next to S&K eyebrows - hard to find - they need to get a real sign. Once you a step inside though, the decor is beautiful, the music is serene and it was a really peaceful & relaxing experience. I purchased a Groupon for their laser service for a large area. Full leg was listed as one of the options for large area. However when I called to make an appointment, I was told that only one-half of one leg is considered a large area (i.e.) two full legs would be four large areas. (Completely different answer from what it says on Groupon). Also, who gets laser on half of only ONE leg? I didn't want to argue and therefore took the easiest way out by calling Groupon to get a refund. This review is just to inform people looking to get laser hair removal services from them. Please call and verify the prices and treatment areas before purchasing Groupon. I can't comment on the treatment itself, but their advertisement of prices is highly deceiving. read more

I came in for a full body massage with an appointment I made with Tessie. She gives such an amazing massage, I got a gift certificate for my mom to experience it for herself. She really worked out so many knots for me. I originally asked for medium pressure (which was very nice and relaxing) and she encouraged me to let her know how I liked the pressure, and ended up asking for a more firm pressure to work out the knots. Quick story that will help you make a decision on whether or not this place deserves your business. I get my eye brows done next door so I walked in New Skin asking for laser hair removal prices thinking I can avoid a trip to Glendale and stay here locally. First there was no one there except for someone's purse in the front desk and the place even though seems big but dark and empty. Then an older lady came and this was the exact conversation Me : I would like to get pricing for laser hair removal please Her: here is a brochure - without any hi, welcome NOTHINg When I looked at the brochure, it only had facial prices so when asking her again she said: oh yea ok wait !!!! The next 5-7 minutes were her looking at a computer screen trying to find pricing for me and looking completely confused and not knowing her business. She gave me a few prices for a few body parts which were extremely overrated and beyond expensive compared to every local place that I asked before. I then finally told her I have to leave and maybe she can call me later with the prices? She agreed and asked me for my name and number. Gave her my number then spelled my name and then..... she laughed! Flat out laughed leaving me standing there not sure what was going on. I asked her what was funny, she said it's just that your name is so weird. What is it? Middle Eastern? Now this is not a story about a racist comment because she herself looks like she comes from cultural heritage, yet it's an impression about horrible customer service and the worst first impression any business owner can make. I went ahead and told her that this is no way to address anybody, let alone comment on someone's name and walked out telling her that she doesn't need to worry about calling me back because I will never walk in that place again. I went next-door to get my eyebrows done and match my story with everybody who works there along with a few other clients who are also getting their eyebrows done and concurred that when they tried getting estimates or even services their experiences were always associated with a horrible customer service. I purchased a Groupon for 6 sessions on xl area. I split it between two areas ( Brazilian/lower legs, 3 sessions each) since I had laser hair removal before. I had a tech named Elizabeth the first time. I was thrown off because there's usually a quick consultation and the tech leaves so you can get undressed. Not this time haha. She was in the room when I undressed which isn't a big deal because, hellloooo. But I thought it was a bit strange. She was done with my Brazilian and lower legs literally in 5 MINUTES. Since I've gotten laser several times before, I know how long it usually takes. The next time I got a tech named Angela, and she was awesome! She marked my legs with a washable crayon thing and was very thorough and the process took about 20 minutes. I felt like the laser was too low as my last appointment was about 2 months ago and there's a lot of growth. When I go to my regular place, it lasts so much longer for touch ups. They don't have the most updated laser. read more
