It is good for picking up basic items. You wouln't go there if you were having a shopping spree as there aren't that many shops so your options are quite limited. Parking is adequate, and not excessively priced (free on Sundays). The car park can get full at peak periods such as Christmas.

Redfields is a large garden centre in Church Crookham, just south of Fleet. Like many garden…read morecentres, it has now become something of a "destination", with a restaurant, cafe, and large retail area selling everything from gifts (a huge range of specialist edible goodies), through homewares, children's gifts, books, stationery and women's fashions. It's a great place to browse, and the quality and range of plants and other gardening items is excellent, though they are not always the cheapest. But in my view, when it comes to plants, you get what you pay for. It's excellent for gift purchases - Christmas, Mother's Day, etc. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The cafe is nice - a good range of cakes for afternoon tea - but it is often busy, and can get quite noisy. Service can slow up when it gets really busy but we have never had a problem. One area is given over as a young children's play area, so if you don't like the sound of children playing, be aware. The centre has level access throughout to the retail area, and a large car park at the front, although this can also get very busy.

My favourite thing about this place (other than their Christmas time decorations and displays) is the cafe on the ground floor. They make amazing cakes all in-house, which always look enticingly delicious and as I have no will power I can vouch for their scrumptiousness. There's plenty of comfy seating so there's always somewhere to sit regardless of whether you're there with a large or small group.

There is a great selection of books - hardback and paperback and all cheaply priced. They sell mens, ladies and childrens clothes and shoes and these are in nice condition and a good price. There is a good selection of ornaments and handbags and the stock if updated regually as they do get alot of donations which are dumped outside the shop!. After Christmas there was a lot of unwanted gift sets which were unopened and alot cheaper than in the shops. There is also alot of bedding and curtains as well as material. Lots of toys as well as soft toys which are in good condition. Worth a browse.

I managed to buy a decent pair of specs with prescription lenses for £50 which is the cheapest I have found anywhere and they are nice frames, nothing designer mind you but nothing old fashioned by any means. A lot of the other opticians Iv been to, made me feel rushed and the examination was performed far to fast, but not specsvers, they check and check again and give you time for your eyes to adapt before asking you which lense you can see clearer from. In other opticians Iv had to ask for a retest as when it comes to trying the new glasses on, as iv not been 100% happy with the prescription. but never in specsavers have I had this problem. The have always been friendly and welcoming, whichever branch I have visited have a good section of frames. They also offer you contact lenses and again these are very reasonably priced. The only negative I'v found is that they have lost my personal information on several occasions, whether its my contact lense prescription or my glasses prescription. Im not sure if its because Iv moved town a few times or since I changed my surname but they really need to sort out their filing system
