I haven't played paintball in several years and this place came by recommendation from a couple of…read morefriends who wanted to play. They have an awesome Groupon deal for $19 that includes: - All day paintball - standard rental gun (Tippmann 98) - goggles/facemask - unlimited air refills - 200 paintballs We had 14 people in our group and reserved play time from 10AM til 1PM one Saturday. Please arrive at least 30 mins before for the check in process (this is very lengthy). We didn't arrive until about 9.45AM and we did not get onto the field to play until about 10.40PM.. Since the staff was short handed that day and we started late, the owner? (older gentleman that seemed to be VERY chill, if you catch my drift) said he didn't care how long we stayed and told us not to worry about anything (and we didn't have to). Since we did have a reservation, that meant we had a referee for each game and were given first choice as to which field we wanted to play. The fields: we played on 5 different fields which were all very different and were designed for specific types of games. We had one field where there was a run down school bus, ice cream truck and over turned car and one large field (half the size of a football stadium) where there were towers/bridge in the middle along with trenches, which was super fun for capture the flag. We also played on this field where we had to storm a house that was nestled on top of a hill and there were four people in the house preventing people from approaching it. Myself, along with a couple of people on my team, had issues with our guns but we were able to get new ones; it was a little frustrating but I knew these type of problems happen. There are breaks in between in each game to rest and reload up on paintballs. This is a very fun paintball place an I would recommend it. It's a nice drive from Richmond, but not that far. SN: on weekends it can get very busy because they also share the same space with walk ons and people who play airsoft.

It's not cute, it's not funny, their language, and appearance is unchecked, and disgusting. The staff can only do so much to police things of course, but there are huge red flags that are just ignored by staff. Wouldn't ever bring my kids to here. I am a local, and have been playing on and off at this field since 2014, and you can tell along with the improvements, that it's gone downhill in other ways such as the details listed above.

I did not realize how much of a sport it had grown into. After a near 30 year hiatus this was a fantastically fun way to get back into the sport and now I'm hooked! Ballahack has a sprawling outdoor arena complete with multiple ConEx style structures. There is a larger village around the middle of the site. The staff is polite and courteous. The location is family friendly: they ensure no cheating, and cursing/ foul language is heavily discouraged. A day pass with equipment rental will run you a little north of $60.00 per person. For that you get a decent airsoft rifle, a full face mask, and a kit with, "dead" rags and barrel covers. In my opinion, it's worth every penny. Ballahack also has a pro shop to purchase your own gear and weapons, or have your own equipment worked on. There are snacks for purchase, and food trucks usually find their way out around lunchtime. There are on site restrooms, as well as port-a-potties for guests to use. I loved my visit! I definitely plan on going back!

THE MOST UNQUALIFIED PERSON WORKING AT THE GUN COUNTER…read more I looked online for ammo specials and I saw Blazer 9mm ammo for $14.99. I drive down there and she Mike at the gun counter if they had any, because I didn't see any where the 9mm ammo is. He said "We don't have any". I told him that was odd because it was clearly on the website. He looked bothered about my question and he responded " They might come in tonight" and that the website doesn't update. I said ok and continued shopping. As I was walking I saw a display full of the Blazer 9mm ammo as advertised. I thought WTH! Mike just told me Academy never received a shipment. I bought some. I then picked up a soft rifle case for my new .22. I asked Mike if he had a Winchester Wildcat I can see to measure my new case, he immediately said "NO". I walked over to the .22's and the first thing I saw was a Wildcat. He has no clue and didn't bother to check. He got the rifle and attempted to disengage the bolt which he was unsuccessful. He didn't see the bolt release. Lol! You can't make this up!! He helped me measure but in our conversation he said "I don't own any firearms" but you're working in the firearm section right? Mike has no clue about anything in the firearm section and should be transferred to another section of the store. Anything but firearms and knives.

But my last few visits were beyond disappointing. The front supervisor got rude when my wife were the only customers in the store and when we went around the maze to get to the register we stood there for nearly 4minutes while the front supervisor and four other employees just stood there gabbing and occasionally looked our way. When were asked for assistance the supervisor directed one of the employees to help us. The employee stated "She was going to lunch" WTH!!?? The supervisor immediately broke up the gabbers and left the area. We placed the $350 worth of products on the counter and left. When I called back to the store to speak with the front supervisor . She immediately got defensive. I then called the National Customer Service and was promised a call back from the Store Manager . When the SM finally called me I commented on how the store staff especially the management team had hit rock bottom. All I received were excuse after excuse and we want you back. I will never step into another ASO again! I have started shopping at CABELA'S, BASS PRO , and GREEN TOP for my sports and shooting needs.
