It's not a city I would like to spend too much time in. It's sort of a hybrid between Atlantic City and Cape May, but it misses the main point of both, which in the first case is gambling, and in the second case is peaceful beautiful resplendent Victorian charm. But one place in Wildwood is worth spending time. On the boardwalk. The boardwalk is very cool in a very old style way. I prefer the ones in Seaside Heights, AC, Coney Island, and others, but still. We came here for the Restaurant Week prix fixe meal. It was an amazing meal. We ordered: the…read moresausage polenta, crab and corn chowder, rigatoni bolognese, linguini carbonara, veal cutlet, filet mignon with risotto, ice box parfait, and limoncello cake. The chowder was a nice thick hearty soup. The polenta was delightful- with a light and creamy corn flavor. The linguini was a very light and airy pasta. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium and was so tender. The risotto and spinach went really well with the steak too. The veal was lightly breaded and melted right in my mouth. The limoncello tasted lemony and sweet, smooth and refreshing with a prominent aroma of lemon. The yellow dessert looked and tasted like a ray of sunshine. The ice box parfait was a refreshing end to my meal. As you can probably tell, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire dinner. The place was packed when we visited. Service was a tad slow but our server Faith did great. The meal more than made up for the slightly slow service. The portion sizes were generous too, we had to box one of the entrees to go. This definitely one of the better restaurant week deals, I would definitely recommend it and this place in general.

It was crispy and savory; the perfect way to start the meal. I think it was my favorite dish we had. We also really liked the anchovies with the garlic sauce. Both had a strong flavor that really went well together. Our next visit, we came during the early bird special which is a great value by the way. The chicken marsala came in a very good portion, the chicken was cooked perfectly (soft and tender) with a very savory sauce. The cannoli which was complimentary with the early bird is shockingly one of the better cannolis I have had. Pretty much everything we got from Little Italy tasted great. The only dud for me is their salad. I'm personally not a fan of the complimentary salad unfortunately.
